Some do because they're so stressed they can't relax. For the most part though everyone in my platoon rubbed one off now and then. There are rumors than the shot they give you makes it hard for you to get an erection, however they're unfounded. If you're going to be going to Basic, just remember to take at least 5 or 10 minutes before you go to sleep to relax and try to reduce your stress levels. If that includes whacking it then so be it. It will make a huge difference in how well you handle things.

I asked my bf that question after we went to boot camp together. He said he was to tired to do it and plus you usually take showers with a bunch of other guys like 2 feet away from you. I know I was to tired to do that stuff, the minute I laid down I was asleep.

One socially inept, filthy little retard I was in Basic with. We were in morning formation, everyone had showered, dressed, rushed downstairs to stand in the crappy humid Missouril heat in August, too early in the morning. But one guy was missing... The drill sergeant found him masturbating in the public shower.
That would be really embarassing if one had the brain cells to recognize embarassment. I think this guy didn't care.

Yes because they put 'Saltpeter' in the food which keeps our penis's from getting hard. I was in infantry basic training for 14 weeks I should know.

You dont quit it, just put it on a standstill. There really isnt much to beat off to. Some people sneak off to the urinals to do it secretly.
you know sometimes they have random drug tests which require recruits to pee on a strip. if it turns a certain color it means the pee contains protein.
