I know it may depend on the location. But what would an average storekeeper wear?

the uniform of the day at his particuar command for his particular pay grade.

an SK wears the same uniform as everybody else in his paygrade, regardless of rating.

if you are talking about a particular field of work, he'd wear the same uniform as any other sailor, white for summer, blues for winter.
uniforms may have changed to dungarees and suit-type uniforms so the above maybe off, especially if they are no longer part of navy uniforms. it's been several years since i saw any sailors where i am.
if your talking about a civilian working in anavy store at a navy base, it would depend on what the base commander might want,or the store manager, if he/she has the authority to require something in particular.

like the above said, the same uniforms as everyone else. If they are on a ship they would likely wear coveralls.
