Ive always found drinking a pint of water before bed and placing one on the bedside. in the morning follow this up with a good cold bottle of your corner shops finest chocie milk does the trick for me. saying that when i had the mother of all hangovers from wetting the head of my first born, on falling into the maternity ward stating i was there to take home the new edition i was told by the nurses and doctors at the desk looking at me like i was a Saturday night thing from A&E that i was not allowed on the ward until i had downed either a can of 7up or sprite. it did work

A large glass of water with a sachet of 'Resolve' added before you go to bed if not too drunk to remember and same again first thing in the morning. Keep drinking water and orange juice and, if you can face it, a bacon and egg breakfast.
Don't worry, the self loathing wears off eventually!

have a hair of the dog, that works! It works because after you have had one you generally want another one. And before you know it you are p1ssed again, and have forgotten that you had a hangover in the first place. Or as Siany C said get yourself a Gregs, I prefer 2 steak bakes. Or a nice fry up does the trick also!

A few things:
1) rehydrate - you must get fluids back into your body so drink plenty of water. You can also take anything with electrolytes e.g. powder to mix with water, gatorade, lucozade
2) heavy/greasy food will help settle your stomach. If you can't handle heavy food eat something e.g. bread, chocolate. It's important to get you blood sugar levels up too.
3) ibuprofen - this will help get rid of the pain of headache, neck ache
4) shower and a walk in the fresh air. This is mostly psychological but really helps
5) neck and shoulder massage helps stimulate blood flow around the body relieving pain

a hangover is pretty much caused by your body being dehydrated.
whenever i drink, i alternate alcoholic beverages with other beverages.
example? i have a drink, then i have a tomato juice (which bars carry). then another drink, then a glass of milk. then another drink, then a glass of water. then another drink, then a glass of apple juice.
not only will you not suffer from hangovers, but your energy and perception will stay pretty high
