I'm taking taekwondo, and I am going to test for my blue belt in a few months and I can't do the splits yet. Its not required bu it makes the higher kicks much easier also theres a tourney in a couple months so I gotta get ready for that too. I am about a 18" from the splits (spread eagle) and 9" from touchin my toes.

It took me 3 months to learn da splits. It's important to all ways keep your legs "loose" therw out the day, Do da spilts every morning, evening, and nigth and some in between da day. Korean spits also helps the most, Go down as far as you can then from there go in to a push up postin with your legs still spead out. Keep this up and if you really want it you'll have it in no time.Good look G

I would suggest dance stretches........but you gotta have a ballet bar.....sounds stupid I know, but it works. See if there is a local dance class you can sit in on the stretches for a few weeks.....hell those kicks will get a lot higher real fast.

It could happen tomorrow or it could never happen, it all depends on your body. Everyone is different and not everyone can reach that level of flexibility.
