How many of you believe that the US Government and the Public School System is desensitizing our children to immorality. They teach them that being homosexual, or getting an abortion is okay and its not OK to discriminate to immorality, otherwise reversing everything you have taught them over the years.
Is the school replacing and reteaching "family values" by bringing in Planned Parenthood or Pro-Gay activists into schools to teach them the so called "American Way".

What I forgot to mention is that it is getting sent to schools more and more everyday. Abstenence is a teaching of the past in schools. I just got done reading "Public Education Against America" by Marlin Maddoux. Anyone have any real experience with dealing with stuff like this at school/college or with your childrens schools?

When you teach your child one thing and you send them to school (Who the children respect the teaching of) and they teach them another thing, it becomes confusing to a young mind.

It isn't good. This is the liberals agenda. This is only the begining, could you imagine if there were no conservatives to balence things out. The liberals see those issues as religious extremest views and religion should not be taught in schools.

Its the parents job to teach morals, Not the schools.
All I see is the schools teaching the kids how to pass the SAT tests, and leaving out the basics. How else can you explain in some places (Ky, Tn, Ar, for example) kids are graduating out of high school that can not read past the 7 grade level.

It is the parent's responsibility to teach morals. If the parents do it correctly then no matter what children hear otherwise from school or peers will affect that. Mine told me not to smoke, showed me the evils and even being in a public school that had a smoking area for kids 16 and older (yeah I was in HS awhile ago) do you think I now smoke? No, I don't, never have because my parents did their job.

Hmmm.... I don't think so. Most schools in sex-ed teach students abstinence, which I think is wrong. I think that teenagers and even children are going to have sex so they need to be prepared for whatever happens. As for being homosexual, I didn't realize that schools were around preaching yea or nay on that topic. Personally, I don't think anything is wrong with being a homosexual. As for immorality, I believe it is not the school's job to teach morals. It's the people in our lives, such as our family, to teach morals.

Schools do and need to more so teach kids how to inform themselves and how to decide for themselves. "Teaching morals" in the past has seldomly involved teaching (instead forcing) and has only lead to people stopping teaching ro books in the name of morality (instead inforcing ignorance) Its not the goverments job to enforce your consertive morals, its the job of the conseritives. And it should be done out of the class room. As people see more and more that conseritive idealiogy is not only silly when analyzed, but down right rascist, unchristian (hating gays for example, key thing hating), the consertives blame everyone but themselves for failing. You want to improve your morality, than go out there and teach it. But don't try to force it into education because you or your communitty are pitifully ineffective in "sharing" (forcing) your message

You cant blame it all on schools and the government. I think a huge portion of the blame goes to the fact that immorality sells, its profitable. I am disgusted and appalled by television and if I had children I would not allow them to view it.
