I have 3 days off and I want to go for a mini vacation. Please name some cool places to check out too. I'm going by myself so I won't be going to bars, just don't feel comfortable not knowing anyone when I go to one.

Victoria, BC is beautiful. also check out Vancuver, but Vistoria is much more pleasant

Quebec City is one of my favourites - it's like going to Europe without the cost. There are some fabulous french restaurants there, and lots of great shopping. You can just walk around fromplace to place and have a nice time.
My other favourite place in Canada is Banff Alberta - The Rocky Mountains! Awesome - playground for the rich and famous!

It really depends on what your interests are. If you are looking for a City Life vacation I would suggest Toronto 100%.
Toronto is the largest city in Canada has the most diversity.
I live in Toronto and there are always numerous theater (eg.blue man group), Concerts, Museums(Royal Ontario Museum, Art Gallery of Ontario), Festivals, and Superb Dining experiences!

Go to Montreal and experience the old city; it's like being in Europe.
Vancouver, for mountains, ocean, whale watching
Toronto (and Niagra Falls) for cultural events, Science Museum, CN tower
Winnipeg for... um the flatness.
Banff for the mountains and hiking and lakes

I would recommend Edmonton since you are going alone. The West Edmonton Mall is awesome, you could spend two days there for sure, and even alone it is quite entertaining. Also, downtown Edmonton has the neatest shops, You can spend hours just walking around there and looking around. :) Hope this helps!
