If there are two adults, drive her a few blocks from home and walk her back, while the other drives the car back..As she gets more comfortable, knowing she is heading home, she will shake less..Just don't allow her to stay home and live in fear, but get her out and about more..
Before her outings, Give her Chamomile tea . You will find it in the tea section at your grocer's.
Anyway, dump it out of the teabag, and mix 1 teaspoon for small dog, or 1 Tablespoon for large dog, in just a little bit of canned food, such as Cesar's, or Mighty Dog.
This will help her relax, reduce her stress, and is safe and actually good for her.... You can give as needed..It REALLY works..
It wouldn't hurt to have her ears checked by a vet.

wow that's so sad and that's been a long time. HAVE you taken her to a vet? is she small dog that'd feel real threatened by sounds? I know I am but that's just me and I didn't realize dogs would be so shocken up and remember something like that 4 so long. I think it's real extreme that she's scared when she hears a fly in the room, even though again I am the same way but that's because I think it's gonna be a bee and sting me. walks I guess used to be her comfort zone but what do you do 2 comfort her when she shakes pretty hard like that? have you tried embraces her and petting her and say in a soft loving voice that you love her and everything is ok? try 2 give her a treat, anything to feel more comforted and get her mind off of it if that's possible. anything like that to calm her down? Do whatever you think is in her best interest and what the vet says is best 4 her. I dunno if dogs do well on meds and how long you'd have to give them 2 her. if the vet sujest that ask around 2 ur friends that have dogs and see if they've had a good experience with it b-4 you actually give it to her, or ask on here about the meds the vet says she should take.
I hope your dog will feel safe soon and cope with her being scared of noises and jus being jumpy and shakey in general. Just spend extra time with her and show her how much you love her.
good luck, I'm sure everything will turn out real good and she'll be herself again real soon;-)

Consider obedience training, or buy a book. It will teach you how to train her so that you don't make her problems worse, and you don't go nuts. It also gives dogs confidence in themselves and their environments.
Try distracting her from her fear with treats.
Don't react to the fear. Anytime you comfort her, talk to her, or even look in her direction while she is shaking is reinforcing the behavior.
Encourage bravery. At random times during the day, when she is not shaking, praise her. Say, "What a good, brave (use the dog's name), good girl! Pet her and coo a little while you say that. Do it a few times a day.
Desensitize her to loud noises. Take a pot and a spatula outside and give it a few whaps. Ignore the dog completely. Do it a few times a day. Also, honk the horn of your car, have neighbors bang stuff in their yards. Go outside and holler. When she stops reacting so violently, start banging stuff around in the house.
NOTE: The banging and loud noises have to be done along with the praise for bravery. If you just start loud noises, she may freak more. Being praised for bravery and ignored during loud noises are two parts of one therapy.
Good Luck

I feel soo bad for your dog. I want to let you know that there is medication for animals who have anxiety and it seems to me that the fireworks have made her a bit uneasy. Talk to your vet to see if they can give some samples to try for anxiety also be sure to let your dog know that noises are okay and that nothing will happen. Be sure not to force her to go on walks if she is uncomfortable, you need to break her back into the habit. Hope I helped and be sure to talk to your vet if you havent already, good luck and best wishes.

Was she injured or threatened any way by fireworks or other people? Sounds like she had a trauma.Give her exta tender care and take her to the vet soon. I would have taken her before now because she can get sick from being so nervous.I hope the dog gets well soon and please keep her away from the noises!

Dogs can be traumatized by fireworks. Especially if they are alone when the fireworks are going off. I can't believe that you haven't already taken her to the vet. That poor dog. and shame on you. Your animals depend on you to take care of them. If your kid was shaking for months would you take your kid to the doctor. Same with animals. If you can't afford the bill then you shouldn't have the animal. You can't let it suffer like that. Please take her to the vet.

Maybe she got a shock from all the noises and fire works...I think you better see a vet as soon as possible just to make sure she's ok.
Good luck!

Speak to your vet. You may need to put her on some medications until she can get over the problem. Although, sometimes this will never occur.
