The scriptures say some are allowed to come back and speak to us. Like Moses speaking to Jesus on the mountain about His death.
What do you think of this ??...my friend and BF who died were brought to me by Jesus as I prayed. Some also are still here even though their bodies died. They are in a dream state and are hearing the gospel so they can choose Jesus as Lord or reject Him. Have you ever heard this ? Its in the Bible.

I thought the dead were speaking to me once, but then I realized it was just my conscience.Seriously,I've had little bits of insight seemingly spoken to me,but I think I was just having a good-brain day.I don't know if I believe in spirits anymore, but I like your explanation for them coming back.At least you don't try to explain them away as demons or something, like other Christians do,when confronted about what they're doing on the loose. You go,girl.

One late night several years ago, when I was just getting started on my Christian walk. I don't know what I was thinking, but I had a cousin who committed suicide and I decided to say this prayer for him. It was a prayer for the dead from the Catholic Bible. Well anyway I say the prayer and the next thing I heard was the nastiest, demon possessed, gurgling and language sounds I've ever heard. They were really loud and coming in through my bedroom window. ON THE 3RD FLOOR!!! I'm talking like 100 times worse than the exorcist girl. I was laying on my stomach with my head facing away from the window. I got chills that just ran up and down my body. My hair stood on end. It was the scariest situation I've ever been in or even heard of. About 15 seconds after it started I remembered what Jesus did. I said, "The Lord Jesus Christ, rebukes you satan, BEGONE." I said this a few times and whatever it was just stopped and was gone. The lord rebuked whatever it was. I didn't have the courage to look back and see if a face went with the awful sounds coming out of it's mouth. Needless to say I have never again, nor will I ever say a prayer for the dead and I highly suggest you don't either! Even though I found out what to do to get rid of the "demons" I sure as heck won't ever do it again. Once was enough..Yikes!!!!

The term "dead" is a misnomer. It gives false meaning. And it
is cause for a lot of hysterics. Spirits aren't dead. They are very
much alive. Dead implies a state a spirit can get in where it
lacks awareness of its surroundings.
Just like the word "spirit". Which is just a word we use to describe many different kinds of life. And the word creates
hysterics.
Or the word "occult". Which is just the Latin word for the
English word "hidden". It means hidden from view or understanding. Another source of hysterics.
Scipture says, " the Spirit searches the deep things of God.
Even the hidden, (occult [Latin]), wisdom of God."

Yes, my grandmother, who I was very close to and named after, came to me in a dream. I was going through a very difficult time in my life, and she came to me in a way I have never dreamed before, or since. I could smell her perfume, and feel the touch of her skin...you know, like the way an older person's skin feels. She sat down and talked to me, and told me that God had a plan for me, and that everything was going to work out ok. I woke up in tears, but things turned around for the better right after that. To this day, I remember that dream so clearly, and it was about 18 years ago.

You are grieving and may be under stress. The fact that you may be a brainwashed religious fanatic, and are grieving, makes your claims very suspect. The Bible is far from being a reliable source of facts, so quotes from it are meaningless as hard evidence.

I personally reject Jesus. I don't think he was divine in any way, just a cult leader. As far as living after you are dead, it is impossible. Our thoughts are contained within our brain/mind. Neither of these survive our death. You are alive and have memory, a great deal of grief, an imagination driven by wishful thinking.

It is fine to think about departed ones and remember them and still use these memories as inspirations to achieve fulfillment in life. But to think of deceased people as still alive is self-delusional. There is no heaven or afterlife whatsoever.

Jesus said not to speak to the dead. Their spirits are not on earth anymore, so you're being deceived.

uhmm, i've never heard of that. can you give the verses? all i know is, when we die we 'sleep' is what its called until judgement day. and one of the disciples said 'its better to be alive than be in the grave and know nothing.' i think you Want these people to speak to you, and maybe Jesus is just letting you know their okay, idk? but your not talking to them i dont think. the only spirits present with us humans is good angels and bad angels, (and God)
