I have a cat that does this as well, but she is about 6 years old and hasn't gotten over it. She even goes as far as laying on top of my clothes and rubbing her face on them. I think she is trying to get my smell on her???? She also sleeps with me every night. I know it can be annoying sometimes but it just means she has a good bond with you.

My two cats follow me into the bathroom. I gave up years ago trying to shut the door. Otherwise they sit on the other side of the closed door pawing under or at the door. One cat loves to sit on the edge of the tub and put his paw in the water. The other one just sits on the toliet and watches. The only time I get the bathroom to myself is while I'm taking a shower. But once the water is turned off....there they are. While I'm using the toliet they both come in lay at my feet and purr belly side up. I also have to fight for the sink while brushing my teeth. Both cats like to drink from the faucet. And sometimes one of them just likes to lay in the sink.
I don't know why they do this. I guess it's because they want to be with their human friend.

Sounds just like my cat Sherman. He is the same way. He always wants to be where I am. If I close the door to try to sleep he puts his paws under it and makes a noise with the door to wake me up. I haven't figures him out yet either. So Good Luck!!!

I had a cat that would climb up onto the edge of the tub when I was soaking, then gently climb onto my belly and lie there, with his big fluffy tail floating in the water.
Go figure....

she wants to be near you....our cats do that too. It's funny. if they can't get in they will meow scratch at the door and throw themselves into the door till you are done or you let them in, I usually just let them in.

cats are just like that... they do exactly the opposite of what you'd like them to do... kinda annoying really but they're so cute they get away with everything...
