I am able to get my licence back in 2008, I am worried that no one will hire me. Both with my record and my gap in employment of 5 years. Are there any words of wisdom ?? I am willing to travel and expunge my felony .

I certainly understand your concern. I'm becoming a technician in few months and being careful is just not enough anymore. One has to trust that God has much better in store even though if all the surroundings seemed disappointing and hopeless.
In the main time you can start studing something else if you are really welling. I tell you do NOT worry about getting a Job after you get your licence in 08 .. You don't have to mention these incidents unless they asked you. Apply to as many hospitals as possible and accept far positions or traveling just to get a good reputation back.

You cant expunge a felony. Only the govenor or the president issuing a pardon can do that.
Why on earth would a felony conviction take your license away?

They'll take you in the military or in Alaska, try them.
