I've never done it to anyone, but I had it done to me. I warned her three times that if she ruined our relationship and ended it, that it would be forever, and forever is a long time. That was ten years ago, and I'm not the kind of person who gets any satisfaction out of saying "I told you so", but.......I've lost track of the number of times she has left messages on my answering machine and put herself in my path, come around to where I work, and tried to get a rise out of me. I honestly think she always was convinced that she could have me back anytime she wanted me. She was wrong, and I think she is realizing how long forever is. You will have that same experience.

Omg you have no idea. You never know at the time, but only later can you find out. Then once you find out, it's too late. Usually the person either has too much pride to take you back or has moved on with someone else. But then again there are situations where people have left and wish they left 10 years earlier because they are so much happy. Life just has tough lessons and a lot of chances.

Yes, the grass does always seem greener on the other side, doesn't it?
But all I can say is that I've been the 'dumpee' before in the situation you described, and when she wanted to get back together with me, I just couldn't bring myself to be with her again.
One word: paranoia.
If she did it to me before, she might do it again.
I know it sounds pretty negative, but you're better off finding another person similar to this person you just dumped. You don't want to be with someone who suspects you could do it again in the future.
