I am currently 17 weeks. My son is 12 months and still nurses for bed, comfort and naps. He has slowed down alittle but I'm not pushing the issue as I planned to Breastfeed for 2 years anyway. I know to feed the new baby first when he/she comes for the first bit until the milk comes in but other than that has anyone come upon issues with it? I'm expecting him to want to nurse more out of jelousy. Also I know he may stop when it turns to colustrom soon as the taste may change, how did you deal with starting up nursing again? Did your child start nursing again?

Also I will be continuing to breastfeed. It is best, there is nutritional value. I dont need people telling me crap about that. I dont care. I am looking for advice on what is to come not opinions on my parenting style. Thank you.

Umm I aparently didnt make it clear that my son eats table foods, and I am NOT weaning him. He is 12 months old (1 year) and has been on regular food for some time. He only nurses for naps and bedtime or when he is hurt.

I wish I could help but I understand why you worded your question the way you did...people can be pretty harsh with their answers. Good luck with your son and your new lil one!

I have not been in that situation, but one thing I can think of to tell you is to perhaps start feeding your son the beginner rice cereal while you wean from breast feeding. About once a week you can add pureed fruits or veggies to the cereal to add flavor and textures. While doing that you can pump your milk and freeze it so he is still getting breast milk without actually nursing. After the baby arrives you may have to nurse in another room so your son doesn't see and try to climb up in your lap. Best wishes!

I'm speechless, sorry, I just have no words. Do what you want. It's your body and your babies.
But, DANG!!
