I think your problem isn;'t your faith in God, but faith in yourself. You are having a hard time dealing with the mistakes in your life. Remember when you accepted Christ as your savior and truly repented your sins, THEY WERE ALL WASHED AWAY!!!!!! ALL of them. Now you have to forgive yourself because God has already cleaned your slate, and made you white and pure as the snowfall. The hardest thing to do when you first become a Christian is forgiving yourself. But there isn't a sin that you could have committed that God want forgive. The only unforgivable sin is NOT listening to the Holy Spirit and being saved when God calls you to repent. He truly loves you and He is there for you stay in constant prayer and soon He will fill you with the Holy Spirit and then you will have no more worries about your faith. You will feel the peace and love that only It can give.
God Bless You,
Father I pray that you will help her to accept her mistakes in life, and let her know that you have forgiven her completely, that she has been made whole again, and washed as white as the snow. May you continue to strenghten her faith, and let her receive the Holy Spirit so that she may feel the peace and love IT gives us. I ask this in your precious son Jesus's name, thanking you in advance for listening to my request. AMEN

I don't think you've lost your faith because you're in here asking an important question and you are concerned about losing your faith. That makes you a Christian that is learning, growing, and questioning, like all of us. As you grow in your faith you will be strengthened. We all sin and fall short of the glory of God. Just because you are a Christian doesn't mean you'll stop sinning. We are human and make mistakes. The difference for a Christian is that Jesus forgives our sin. Whatever mistake you have/had/will make in your life, you need to confess it to God (acknowledge the sin), Repent of the sin (tell God you are sorry and that you'll do everything in your power not to repeat the same mistakes over and over again), and put all your faith in Him alone. He has already forgiven and forgotten your sin. We can't and shouldn't dwell on sin that He remembers no more. We have all made horrible mistakes in our lives, that's the point, we all need forgiveness. Stay in the Word it will comfort you. Satan likes to attack believers in Christ, especially, I don't know why this is, but it is. We are protected by God Himself, though. Satan must not have gotten the memo. He hates that you believe in Jesus, that you have chosen life and not death and will try anything to put doubt in your heart. You will be o.k if you know that God is on your side, if you believe in Him. Our God is big, He's huge. All the heavens can fit in the palm of God's hand; the earth and the seas are measured in the hollow of his hand. That is a great God we have. You are on the path of truth. Stay in the Word and be fulfilled. Because God is with you and He loves you, so do what is pleasing to Him.
Romans 8:38-39
8:38
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,
8:39
nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

You mention that part of losing your faith is because you feel you've made so many mistakes that Christ can't forgive you. But He does forgive you and even died on a Cross for you. So why do you doubt His sincerity and His love?
Read your Bible - remember the passage where the Jews brought before Jesus a woman whom they had caught red-handed in the act of adultery? They were ready to stone her to death, according to their Law. But what did Jesus do? He stooped down on the ground and started writing all their sins in the dirt, and then told them "whichever of you is without sin, cast the first stone". Then when none of them were able to do it and they all left, he turned to the woman and asked where her accusers were. When she said there was none, He told her, neither do I condemn you - now go in peace and stop sinning.
So if He can forgive someone in that situation, why do you doubt that he could forgive you? Be of good cheer and open your heart to Him. Read the gospels, pray and you will find your faith.
May God be with you.

Read the Bible - God's word, go to church and fellowship with other believers or join a bible study group. Pray - tell God how you feel. Trust the facts and not the feelings. Run a good race and don't give up so soon. We have all made mistakes and we all need Jesus (even if we don't know it). Praise God and the Spirit of Heaviness will leave. You are his child - He who has begun a good work in you will be faithfull to complete it.
Don't let other things in your life come before God. Put Him in his rightful place (first) - before tv, internet, other social contact etc. make time to spend in His word every day. Fast and pray. Ask Him to fill you with the Holy Spirit. Seek him with your whole heart and you will find Him.
Be passionate and tenacious. Refuse to let circumstances affect your walk with God. He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

you have to get it back...it's part of believing...if everything went well...after receiving Jesus...we would have peace in the world. Having Faith is just part of it...faith is also trust...you have to trust that Jesus will carry you through. He will be there for you...but he will not hold you hand...i wish he did...but he doesn't. Just keep the faith..nothing happens over night...everything leads somewhere. And you alone can keep from making the mistakes that you made before, it is a choice..Lot's of people that do not believe...make the right choices...and they still have difficulties...We all go through it....Never give up...it is a life long commitment

I didn't think God was a huge deal until sometime this year around March. I am so glad i go to church now. and you want your faith back? All you have to do is think about God every day in your life. Without Jesus dying on the cross for you, there is no christianity. All the mistakes you've made? Go to church. Ask your pastor to pray for you. Ask anyone to pray for you, and more importantly, ask for forgiveness. Because all the 'mistakes' are called sins, and God will always forgive you, no matter how evil the sin was. If you do something bad and people say "oh you'll burn in hell", don't believe them. Just reply with, "No i won't. God will help me". that's what i say =]
and here are a few tips:
- Think about what Jesus would've done everytime you make a descision
- If you're about to do a sin, such as cursing, saying ' i hate...', or swearing to god, think about who's watching you all the way up from heaven. Would you think God would be pleased?
- Accept Jesus into your heart AGAIN. He won't care if you do that a few thousand times. He'll know that you really want it.
- PRAY every night. Always remember to pray. Don't only pray for yourself, asking Him to give you great things in life. When you ask, you won't recieve, because you don't ask the proper way. Pray for your friends, family, people you've met, people you've seen, pray for Jesus dying on the cross for us. Ask for His forgiveness every night. Admit to Him that you are a sinner, because He already knows.
- Go to church activities, such as a Night of Worship, or Retreats, or conferences that your church goes to. Don't go to a church? No problem. Ask any of your friends if they go to a church. Maybe you guys can start going together. That's what i did, and i've learned so much. I thank my friend for all this.
There's nothing more i can say now. Just remember God, imagine YOU being up on that cross dying for everyone's sins. Would you really do that? Now really, would you?

Look what happened to Jesus right after he was baptized. He ended up in the desert and was tempted by Satan. You are in the desert right now too, and Satan is not happy with the faith that you have found. Please know that even though you might feel all alone and can't find God anywhere that you turn, that he is there for you. Don't ever believe that there is no way back to him. He loves you and will forgive you anything so long as you are truly sorry and will do your best to stay true to him. Know too that your brothers and sister in Christ are here for you, holding you up in prayer. You are in the desert, but you won't be there forever.

Sad to hear thing are so hard for you right now
when you asked Jesus to be the lord of your life He took you you up on your offer so now you can relax a bit.
faith come from God and if you are feeling like its gone all you have to do is to ask Jesus to give you the faith you need in your life once you have asked Jesus, He is responsible for your faith and how much you feel it
if you are not feeling faith filled just tell him and remember yourself
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FIX ANYTHING IN YOURSELF
He is now responsible for fixing you
you said you were afraid mistakes were going to hurt you and you daughter
but let me remind you Jesus said my sheep hear my voice and follow me
so now God is the leading man of your life chooses
and He is big enough to pick up the pieces of your life
I have be a christian for a lot of years, and i have found that with the lord that things that looked like big mistakes have turned out to be the exact thing god want me to do
this life is very hard
God loves your daughter even more then you and He will lead you in ways to keep her safe
one more thing you asked Jesus to come into your live the next step is to ask to be filled with the holy spirit

Faith and spirituality is a process. When you first begin it is like a young foal with shakey legs, as you continue to talk with the Lord and ask for His guidence, you grow in understanding and love. The more you grow, the more unstoppable you become, and soon nothing will ever shake you again (I'm happy to be here now for many years and many "shakeable" experiences). Just keep following the love, my friend, and God will be there with you thru to the end. He doesn't expect perfection, but hopes we truely find His love, and learn to share it with others....;-) Just keep asking, and you will receive! And speaking from experience, He does fulfill His promises!
I just caught you last details, and did you know that King David was adulterous with a woman and then sent her husband off to war in the front lines so he would be killed and King David could marry his mistress......and though he was punished, God still forgave him and loves him dearly. And, if you see how you love your daughter, don't you know Gods love is so much greater than even we can imagine for our own children?

Feelings although real are not reliable.
Just because it "feels" like you've lost your faith, doesn't make it so.
Pray and get into the Word (Holy Bible).
It will do wonders for you!
Jesus loves you :o)
You might want to start in the New Testament with John, Acts Romans, Matthew, Mark and Luke...finish out the New Testament (you might even consider skipping Revelation until you read the Old Testament).
Don't just be someone that prays...be a prayerful person.
Take everything to the Lord in prayer. It will draw you nearer to Him, His will and His purpose for your life.
Grace to you and God Bless!
