Raised up is called rapture by religion [ some ], I do not use words that are not in the bible and when some one has a belief they do not see the scriptures that do not fit into their belief. If the head of the body is raised up as Rev.6:9-11; 11:12 ...come up hither.. show that distance is involved in them being raised up.
HOW DOES THESE TWO SCRIPTURES FIT INTO A RAPTURE?
Rev.6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
Rev.6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
Rev.6:11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

Very good question for discussion on this religion and spirituality board.
The "rapture" is a concept, though not a word, found in the New Testament. It will mark the end of this age, and will occur at the time the seventh trumpet (last trump) sounds.
We are currently in the fourth or fifth seal in Revelation. We still have two or three seals and six trumpets to wait through until we get to the "last trump".
You want proof? Sorry, no proof, just evidence. The evidence is most of the answers above. Most are from unbelievers who came here to scoff at us like the unbelievers scoffed at Noah while he built the ark.
2 Peter 3:3-6
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

Yes im waiting....and look at all the answers you got...It makes it clear why the majority of man will be left behind.....Im currently trying to find out why some cgristians dont beleive in a Rapture..Or to be "Cought Up" as its called in the bible. Im wondering if they think the 2nd coming is the rapture...2 seperate events. The 2nd coming of Christ is a actuall coming where jesus comes down to earth...The Rapture is when the 7th trumpet blows and we meet Jesus in the clouds....im gonna keep looking.

smh73448,
I am waiting for the Rapture. It could be sooner than you think. I have many things to say about it. The right things that are lining up, and I await as being ever watchful.
I love God, and want to be with Him forever.

I'm atheist, but if I were Christian I wouldn't believe in the rapture. I know its history all too well. A joke I say, God going to take away all the fundementalist Christians. Great, can I have their car!

Romans and Thessalonians state that Christians are saved from this period of time. Get busy doing some good and cut out the doom and gloom crud.

Thank goodness the born-agains will only be involved in this event. I'd hate to be stuck in heaven with a bunch of born-agains. Hopefully they will be kept in a walled of section somewhere.

No.You cant expect rapture,..it will come by itself without anybody knowing, once they qualified for that.To be qualified,..you must follow Jesus,...regardless what your religion is.
Antichrist will deceive you,...mostly with materialism,...money,..power,...etc.
So,..keep your faith strong and repent ,..thats how it works
I am sure rapture happened already,...just most people dont realize,......
Rapturer,..just dissapear,.....without dying,...but people will always use LOGIC to explain the phenomena....
