it could have also been a ghost or a spirit, you know those do exist, just pray to god you dont have anything like that scare you again. Its no fun, ive seen them and its a hard one to explain to anyone without them thinking you are nuts.

While dreaming, humans are built to disengage the muscles so we don't literally act out our dreams. Sometimes the switch momentarily gets stuck when we wake up. This is sleep paralysis and it can be alarming. It was probably a random event and may not happen again. Don't worry.

If you were "sleeping in your bed", then you didn't stay up all night, right? It very well could have been a dream, but you didn't realize you were sleeping. Also, the mind does weird things when it's half asleep, too.

Yes keep your fingers out of the light sockets. LOL Seriously I have never heard of this before. Could have been part of a dream and you were waking up. Makes the mind think it was real.

in my country, we have a term for this phenomenon.
i heard a lot of these things happening to people who drank a lot of alcoholic drinks, ate a lot of food and immediately went to sleep. this condition may cause death because some people who experience this died.
others have to be awakened by somebody else before they feel the force in their body leave.
i found some scientific explanation for this. they say it is related to the pancreas due to the food, alcohol intake and sleep.

It sounds to me like you had an episode of sleep paralysis. It could be the stress on your body from drinking led to the episode.

That's why I don't drink or do drugs. IF I want to hallucinate I can wait til I am old and senile.
