It doesnt matter where u go on the internet - or even offline everyone has their opinion. Regretfully ppl get defensive because they believe that their point of view may not be seen as being valid in someone else's eyes. Everyone is tense about religion these days because everyone regardless of their opinion seem to be attacked instead of having a constructive debate or conversation.
Its sad - life is short. Stressing over what someone else thinks about what they say isnt even worth a quarter.

To be honest, some of the comments on here are very blasphemous to our faith. I know that some people think that they are being cute and funny, but to others it is a slap in the face. I wouldn't come in here and put a question to others that was so arrogant, derogatory. But that is the way it goes in life, everyone has their own opinions, and beliefs. So I try to make the best of it, and answer them as honestly as I can. I try not to be sarcastic with my answers ( but on a couple of questions I will admit that I let my anger get the better of my judgment) and then I had to apologize. Frustrating, but that's life, you take the good with the bad and pray for guidance.

People get all uptight when it comes to religion everywhere....not just here. That's why so many people are becoming more and more disillusioned by the idea of it, myself included. It causes more harm than good seems like.

People are passionate about their belief or unbelief. It gives us all a chance to practice exchanging differing views without a face to face confrontation, in which we may not be so uptight cause' we'd be eye to eye instead of keyboard to keyboard.
Besides that this is the "religion" site - what else are we going to debate here?

Because Religon is the start of all arguements, religon is something someone grasps on to. A belief to call there own and to have someone put it down or degrade it ...well...that would piss them off then they get deffensive and they'll....do whatever it takes to prove the other person wrong.

i dont like intolerance and ignorance and a lot of people on this site think its ok to be ignorant and intolerant about religion. if thats being uptight, then i guess i am.

Cause they're all a bunch of depressed nerds masturbating every minute they have because they can't get a girlfriend, so they ponder about stuff like this so they would either make themselves feel better or make them feel sorry for themselves.

I think people get more wound up here because you can't perceive facial expressions or tones of voice, and nobody knows who you *really* are.
