I was dating this guy for 3years, it was an on and off relationship. We broke up last year and he met another girl. Things were going real well until recently I heard they were having problems in their relationship. I still see him around, at times, it's hard to avoid him. He resides in my neigborhood and occasionally I see him at the store. When he sees me he like to talk with me to see how I am doing. He told me that he still has "feelings" for me. I am having trouble to understand that, how can he have feelings for me when he is in a relationship with a new girl for 1 year now?

Well, even divorced couples have feelings for each other.. it's normal for people to still have remnant affections but it's wise for them to not act on those nostalgia or sentimental aspects...
Remember why you guys are not together now.
And i think from his actions, he is not being a very good person - trying to play both sides.
You need to be with someone who can be decently whole-hearted. Don't be the stand-by girl who will always be there to catch him when he's bored.

hmm...maybe she is his rebound girlfriend from your relationship and he really did/does still have "feelings for you" but then again maybe hes setting you up to be the rebound from his current relationship? as much as people give you their opinions its really only one persons decision-"yours!" youve been in a relationship with this person previously. what does that tell you about him/his behaviour and better yet how do you feel and what are you thinking?dont rush anything or any decisions if its meant to be it'll pan out for the best

It doesnt make sense... He tries out another girl and then he comes back to you... How sure are you that if you get back to him, he will not do the same thing in future? He might still leave you, if he finds a better deal... Trust me, there are better people who would love you for what you are and never leave you, no matter what... Keep looking, and you will find your man.... Leave this one alone... He will never keep you happy

maybe he's resenting the loss of the relationship... and this fact is made worse by the fact his current one is having issues. Don't count on him coming back, If he does, remember why you both broke up in the first place and analyse if it would work out or end in heartbreak again.

2 possabilities hes playin u for a safety net incase current girl doesnt work out. or hes and u never really got closure at the end of your relationship. if u feel u still want him wait it out if not snap it off sharp so everyone knows its over.

this guy is hedging his bets!! Keeping you on a string in case the new lady in his life gets wise to what he's up to and dumps him. If that happens, then wow!! there you are. My adivce is
keep on friendly terms, but don't give this creep an inch. You know what he is up to, so don't put yourself in a position where he can hurt you again.

don't do it. you're asking for trouble. wouldn't you guys have stayed together if it was really right for you? not to mention that you're going to be in a competition with the other girl . he's the only one who wins
