Who's more scared of being alone for the rest of their lives.....men or women?

You know I used to think the answer was surely 'women' cuz most guys seemed so easily satisfied by just casual short-term relationships. But after thinking about it harder, I think that women fear being alone more when they're in their late 20s and early 30s. If they don't find anyone special, they get used to living that way and a lot of them are okay. Men, on the other hand, seem to suddenly grow up and realize they want to settle down and they kinda panic and then they freak out. Overall, I think both men and women fear being alone but women just handle it better.

I honestly think it is men. I think that most women can function completely fine without a man. I find the older women get the more they realize that men can cause more problems so it is not worth it. That is why there are so many single moms. Because women can make it without men. I really believe this.

Women are more scared because they have the maternal instinct that drives them toward marriage, etc. Men are less scared of being alone, however, men are MORE prone to suicide from lonliness than women. Women may be more scared, but they can handle being alone better than men can.

Men Very few widowed men stay single for very long - but women seem to adapt to being by themselves ( which be the way really is not the same as being "alone"

I think men and women think of this and worry over it equally. We none of us wish to go through life alone, its just human nature to want someone to share all of life's ups and downs, to have someone you know will be there at the end of the day, for comfort and support. To have someone you hold at night and know there with you when you have a need. We all need that someone to reach out to, because we all want to give love and receive it.

Men, because women can have children and then grandchildren later to spend time with without having to be married. Girlfriends are usually loyal to the end as well.

i think women cause men always can work their hand up and down (if u know what i mean) but i agree that ugly women are more afraid than sexy women but again how can a sexy woman be alone??!! lol

I think women, We are more sensitive and much more needy. We are brought up to want to marry and have kids. know I'm needy when I want to be,

probably men.....studies show that single women live longer than married women, and single men die sooner than married men.....so if need is an indicator I'll go with the men.
