It is the number one way to reduce crime, and a person would have to be insane in this day and age to remain helpless, like the Jews in Germany who were not allowed to own arms, and like Black slaves who were also forbidden.

People who are opposed to this are tantamount to racists, or racist sympathizers (or just airhead stupid liberals that don't have one ounce of sense).

September I received my Concealed weapons permit. I have learned something very interesting and completely unexpected. I'm more patient and kinder since I have been carrying. I never thought that would occur. I've never drawn on any body, never even pulled my weapon ( came close the other night when my neighbor pushed my door open at 10 PM I went to a reddish-orange awful quick when he did that).

I haven't had any intent on doing anything of the sort when I bought my first firearm three years ago, and I think that the fact that I am nicer and long ( well at least longer) suffering is the fact that if I do something stupid that I reflect badly on every legal gun owner in this country. Seeing how wusses see those of us who refuse to be victims, the last thing I would want to do is hurt someone elses rights. Again, I had self-control before but Isee less of a need to prove anything to anyone.

And in all honesty, the whole turn the other cheek thing makes more sense now than ever before.

Bronson I wish I shared your optimism about Wisconsin becoming a concealed carry state, unfortunately I don't... it took Kansas over 12 years and two governors to do it here, as was already said the Liberal Democrat governor there now vetoed the bill numerous times.. only to have both houses override it in a matter of days!!! ( was THAT cool or what!!!? ) Nebraska was also a great example

Hope it comes to pass in Wisconsin like you hope..

Kansas will soon be a concealed carry state after 1-1-07. The Gov. here vetoed it and it was over ridden. I am very much pro-gun after living in Texas for 27 years and having a CHL there. Now the trick is having each state allow other states CCW/CHL's carry in there states.

The people of the United States have clearly spoken up for their rights under the Constitution to keep and bear arms. Violent crime is down in the states that have enacted concealed carry, and crimes by legal concealed carriers are virtually unheard of.

We have entered an era when the ability of competent citizens to act with lethal force has become a necessity. On 9/11 we saw airliners flown into the WTC, the Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania because there were no armed Air Marshals or Flight Deck Personnel available to stop a bunch of terrorists with box-cutters. One armed defender on each plane on 9/11 might have stopped the whole thing with NO loss of American lives.

Citizens aren't going to be able to do much about terrorists on planes, but they might be able to defend against them elsewhere, and they sure can defend themselves against other violent criminals. Think about it -- How willing would YOU be to pick a fight with somebody who might just have a weapon handy that you don't know about?

i've got self belief you're asking if states must be compelled to correctly known a conceal carry enable from yet another. first of all, i'm a super supporter of hid carry. i think of that that's stupid all states do no longer know alternative states' CHL. i do no longer think of that the federal government has the criminal authority (constitutionally) to alter a state's specific gun rules. and that i in my view do no longer want the federal government regulating hid handgun licenses. That leaves the door open for Liberals (cough Obama cough) to unilaterally removing my rights. i've got self belief that possessing and donning a gun are a great, however the that's the present subject is so you might have a licence to hold. i'm going to %. my battles one after the other.

I believe carrying a concealed weapon is a great defense for law-abiding citizens. The only good violent criminal is a dead one. Let people protect themselves from the predatory scum of society and be able to do society a favor by keeping the criminal population limited.

Good way to control the prison population. Rather bury them than clothe, house, feed, educate, provide medical care and exercise equipment for them.

Why do you need to carry it concealed? I can't rationally justify this form of thinking! It's illegal to shoot someone so that's out.
It's definitely a way to get a police officer to shoot you for sure!
Maybe it's an EGO thing?
I'm pro gun and the right to own, but I don't want a bunch of loose canons all over the country carrying guns in their pockets-that's for damn sure!!!

Well I think that carrying a gun in your glove box of your car would count as concealed and I think people should be able to do that. So I guess I am pro gun.
