Hahaha I buy tamales every sunday from a lady, I buy a dozen for 10 dollars but they're well worth it.
If its a good recipe and you noticeably put a lot of work into them you can sell them for anywhere up from 8-10 bucks
I buy pork one, and cheese and jalapeno ones, good quality and tied at both ends.

A few years ago, someone from my block sold tamales for 1 dollar. He made a lot of money because it was cheap, just about a good size, and he had many kinds. I bought about 5 every day cause if I don't, he would be sold out. So to the point, I think you should sell your tamales for $1 each but since you are not doing it everyday like the guy in my block does, I would buy one if the price is $1.50 to $2.

My mother use to sell them with my aunt, that was about 10 years ago. They charged 15 dollars a dozen. I would pay 20.00 per dozen, it is a fair price for home made tamales.

In southern California I pay $1.25 each over a dozen, and if it is less than a dozen $1.75, but if you are in the southern part of the USA things are cheaper. So what is your location, and are you driving around and selling them. More information is needed to answer the question correctly.

It all depends on where you are selling them and what type of tamale it is. If it is the regulsr mexican style with pork or chicken, then I would say anywhere from $18 - $24. ($1.50 - $2.00each)

If it is the Central American type that are bigger and wrapped in banana leaves, those command anywhere from $3.00 to as much as $4.50each

You probably have to first figure the amount you're spending to make them, see how much they cost canned - then decide on a happy medium, 'cause folks are getting them fresh and homemade.

Here in Montana they are a rarity, so we pay $2.50 each, or $24/dozen. There is only one person in town that makes them! Good luck!

I don't know how much it cost or how much time. 2x cost and add some for your time. 12-15 sounds fair to me.
