Maybe we know something bad about the guy. We don't want to see our friends get hurt when we can help it.
Maybe we like the guy, and don't want to see him hooked up with a friend. It's one of the first rules of friendship, never date their exes.
Or maybe we just flat out don't like the guy, so we know that we don't want to have to deal with him anymore than we have to. When a friend is dating someone, sooner or later, you have to face them at a party or something.
Mostly, it's the first reason. The guy is scum and we know it. Our friends just haven't seen it yet.

I think it is because a lot of time when we are in a relationship we complain about the guy a lot ...and they rarely ever tell the friend about the good things the guy does.

either they don't want you to be seen with certain ugly guys....... or they really care for u and they know hes a poser.... because when u like a guy. you cant tell what he actually is, only outsiders can tell...... or they're jealous. they like that guy..... but usually if they really good friends and they like the same guy as u....... they would have just kept quiet.....

Girls do this because the are selfish and don't want their girlfriends to be happy,misery likes company,and they want their girlfreinds to be miserable like they are.
