He'd be the long-haired, hippie freak, tree-hugging liberal that Christians despise, wouldn't he?

The long hair is optional, but if you remember, Christ is supposed to have fought for the things that liberals embrace. He would love Mexicans, homosexuals and Muslims. Especially because Muslims are deeply religious and honor his father so full-heartedly. He would speak out against the Bush administration, for sure. I guess that would be what would get him crucified again. Poor guy has no luck.

Are you talking about him coming for the first time or the second time, and what makes you think he isn't already here? I remember something from the play Jesus Christ Superstar, where the question is put of why he didn't wait to come in modern times, because then he would have been accepted. But, it would not be any different. We don't fully accept his teachings now, even though we have them right in front of us. Even the Christians of the first century began falling away and returning to their old patterns of celebrating man made holidays and traditions, as Paul said.

Christ wouldn't be a tree hugging liberal, because he knows that his father intends to destroy this old system and turn the Earth back into a Paradise. Why try to change something that is going to be destroyed? It would be like trying to stay in Sodom, because you think you can change things. Lot's Wife learned what happens when you can't bring yourself to turn away from the old system.

As for his coming today, every religion says that the signs of the last days and of his second coming have been taking place since WWI. The problem with that is that the Greek word doesn't translate as coming, but as presence. They are the signs of his second presence on Earth. Anywhere else in nearly every Bible, the word is translated as presence, not coming. So, either Jesus has already returned, or we are not in the last days after all.

You are seriously misinformed, or in other words, ignorant. Some Christians may not accept that he is actually the Christ, but most would rejoice at the sight of their Savior. Christians love everyone including the tree hugging kind.

Are you kidding? If Christians even recognized him, they would hate him. Why? for one he's Jewish, another he lives by Torah and teaches others to do likewise, another would be that he would correct the christians on everything they have wrong.

Naw, christians would at first hate him, then run him out of town and call him a fake and wait for some guy that will tell them what they want to hear.

I think he would probably be killed again by the same christians because they will find that he is speaking something different that what's in the "Holy Bible". Sometimes I feel christians believe more in the Bible than in Christ. I have often asked christians : If Jesus came and said something different that what is in the Bible would you believe in Him? and they say no because he CANOT say anything different. Who are they to put conditions on Jesus? Is Jesus superior to them or they are superior to Jesus? Who puts the conditions? the believers or Jesus? but christians are so attached to this book (which who knows if it is what the disciples of Christ really wrote) that they would surely kill him again.

In the gospels Jesus gave us a new commandment, to go and baptize in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, he said to teach all nations about him.
God has also unveiled Christ to us when he sent his only begotten Son to save us from the devil and his demons.
In other words Jesus has been unveiled for many many years unfortunately the word prefers the darkness over the light of the word.

The Bible says when Jesus comes, He will make Himself known to those who believe, so your question is moot. It's the false prophets who claim to be working in His name that you are probably referring to anyway, and they are a common enemy.

In response to your update: He would love all people, but not their actions. He would love homosexuals, but would preach against homosexuality. Remember the prostitute most people refer to as being Mary Magdelene? He told her to stop sinning and she did, and THEN they were friends.

As for Muslims, they do NOT follow His Father but a false god that they claim is the same but is not. Allah is not God. God does not teach people to kill with reckless abandon cause they believe can lay with 72 virgins in heaven. Uh, no. That's someone else with a pointy tail and a pitchfork.

Long haired, quite possibly. But he would not be a tree hugging liberal or a hippie freak. Why do you think he would.

Christ is among us today, in two different ways:

In the Blessed Sacrament and in the souls of others.

Many Christian do revile Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament by receiving Him in a state of mortal sin and by never visiting Him or even thinking of Him.

He is reviled in the souls of others when they hate God and their neighbor and commit many grave sins.

I am afraid not, except long haired maybe.

God's Gospel:

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10
