it's okay for a christian to swear by the name of allah of course. but what do you mean by vice versa?
As long as that person intends to swear by the one and only God Allah. That is very normal.

No. Why Swear? Christianity tells you not to swear. It tells you that a simple yes or no is enough if you tell the truth. What more do you need?

Christians in Arabic-speaking countries do swear by the name of Allah. "Allah" in Arabic means "the God" and is used to denote YHWH.

According to the Bible we are not to swear, we are to let our yeses be yes and or nos no. God said that we didn't even know the numbers of the hair on our head so how could we possibly swear.

no! Jesus in the bible, King James Version, says "thou shalt not swear by any name neither in heaven or on earth. Mat. 5:34-36

the new testament says that we should not swear at all, our yes should be yes and our no, no. for the complete quote read matthew 5:33-37
