Why do most yahoo answers users insist on making fun of religions. We know some people are anti-christian but just leave us alone. Making fun of us will not get you anywhere. So everyone, chill out and grow up.

BECAUSE THEY HAVE VERY LOST SOULS

After reading the MANY anti Muslim questions/answers on here tonight, I can't help but laugh at this. The saddest part is that most of the worst stuff against muslims is coming from people who claim to be Christians!

Look inside for the problem. Talk to your fellow Christians (not all but a healthy amount) who are verbally attacking anyone who's different. That's where it all stems from. People don't like to be threatened and pitied for having different beliefs. They don't want folks to pray that they lose their faith and come to the 'right one'

"Making fun of us will not get you anywhere. So everyone, chill out and grow up."
*sigh* Again, tell this to your fellow Christians. Remind them about being accepting of others and kindness to their fellow man. Please. I have many very cool Christian friends and they wouldn't EVER act like the majority of Christians on YA! act.

*EDIT* Chris, I really like your answer. You seem like a very smart, logical person. You are the type of Christian I really enjoy seeing on here and you make your religion look better with your attitude. :-)

Blah blah blah, have you been seeing what is going on in the world? Have you read the history of the world? Have you opened your eyes and seen what people have done in the name of their religion? Don't say that those people are just extremest because they are the true believers in their doctrines. If you kept your beliefs to yourselves it wouldn't be a problem, but you don't. You force it down our throats, and your God actually demands that you do so. All of us non-believers will burn in hell? Oh yeah, that is a really loving person.

The bible is full of hate and cruelty, and people have killed, raped, and held back others just to please their 'God'. Priest have raped little boys, parents have traumatized and isolated their children because of it. Taking away their personal freedoms and choices. Bush is against pre-marital sex so he takes money away from useful birth-control providers and puts it into abstinence only programs. They also lie on the government website. When I was 17 they stated that condoms didn't protect against STD's. Lies.

If religion didn't exist, neither would these holy wars or Muslims crashing planes into buildings or blowing up subway stations. Not to mention all of the scientific and medical breakthroughs that had to breakthrough religious societies in order to progress. People that insist on practicing a belief that isn't logical, reasonable, or loving.

No one can do such crimes as passionately as someone who believes they are doing the will of a perfect god.

So don't tell me to leave you alone, you guys screw up the world with you freaking convictions.

Sounding anti-religious seems the current, popular rebellious attitude to flaunt because life is pretty easy right now. Believe me, if we had a really serious 9-11, such as a nuke in LA or genuine anthrax release at a baseball stadium, you'd find a real return to religion. If you could poll the audience, you'd find most of the people you're referring to are adolescent to mid-20s. Most of them will change as they mature. Then, even if they don't find a religion, they won't harass yours.

You know I am a Christian, but I enjoy the exchange. It sharpens my exegetical skills, makes me open my Bible to search for something someone is asking about. It can get ugly, but you don't have to participate in that way.

"Everyone chill out and grow up"--hon, you just gave away your age. We are grown up and have passionate opinions because of our life experiences. Some express those louder and ruder than others. It's just life.....so chill out and grow up kitten.

People we should respect all belief systems. Thats one of the primary reasons that this country was founded, freedom of religon. And we (our country) lets anyone worship in their personal belief. What bothers me and probably a lot of other Christians are all the things that the government is trying to take away for the sake of seperation of church and state. The "under God" in the pledge, prayer in school, monuments and every other referance to God in everyday life. This is a christian based Country! So we will tolerate your beliefs but don't try to deny ours.
Just look at your money and you'll see "In God We Trust"
So don't bash us live and let live, unless you want to change our belief in God, then there will be a fight.

You said it best. They should chill out and grow up. If they actually took this forum seriously they could learn something and be saved, but then they would have to give up hating and insulting everyone. That could be too much of a life change for them. But... we can keep praying for them to be touched by God ,and for those who are trying to answer and learn, pray they are strengthened.

Why don't you look beyond your persecution syndrome and notice that a lot of the hatefulness on the board is perpetrated by Christians themselves?

Do you not see the constant bashing of Muslims here?
