I was gonna say that the Marine's have the best Marines. You know trying to be funny, but from reading the other answers I think I actually understand you question, to which my answer is the same. USMC. Being a former Marine I am kind of biased, so I will admit that while they aren't US Marines the ROK (republic of Korea) Marines are actually pretty hard core. Thier cammies are pretty cool looking too.

As a retired US Marine of course I'm a little biased, but the Navy Seals, Army Rangers and British Marines can hold there own. In combat you don't worry too much about it. When someone saves your neck you don't really care what uniform they have on. But one thing you should add to your question is the Navy Corpsman. I owe my life to them. Semper Fi.

Well, personally I've always been fond of the Royal Marines. Small outfit, but they don't try to be the multi role force the USMC has morphed into. No planes or tanks. Just Amphibious Ops & commando stuff

I would like to say the US...but its hard to argue against the Royal Marines who go through a 32 week basic training.
