He tells me he likes me, I'm beautiful, have a beautiful smile, likes me dearly,misses me terribly etc... all the time. He says he always wants to remain super close with me. We NEVER slept together or even went down on eachother. Do you think he is realizing he wants me back? He told me today I can't believe your still single. Then I said maybe I have met someone and he told me he would be jealous but happy for me.
He knows I won't sleep with him anytime soon.

He really likes you in some way or another. He does not want you out of his life and he wants to make sure he can keep you close. The other reason is to keep you around and till he finds someone else, in that manner he does not want to be alone.

Bottom line he wants to have sex with you. If he wanted to be your friend he would cut out the bullshit. He would be happy for you if you went out with other guys. Once he has sex with you he wont want anything to do with you. He's out looking for other girls to have sex with, but still trying to real you in, thinking sooner or later you will fall for it. Just find someone else that wont be stringing you along.

It could be he just enjoys your companionship. Maybe he dated you thinking it was eros LOVE but realised that he loves you platonically like a best friend. Not too complicated.
