I already have green/turquoise sheets with a lime green bed rug but i'm not sure what to add to the walls.

You probably can't paint the walls or put up wallpaper but if you found a nice Hawaiian print fabric you can cover a wall with it in a way that will be easily removable but will stay up until you decide to take it down and best of all it won't hurt the wall. Cut panels of fabric to the height of the wall and soak the fabric in liquid starch ( you can purchase this in bottles ) really saturate it then squeeze as much out as you can. You will need someone to help you with this next step....start at the ceiling and just lay/stretch the fabric on the wall and smooth down with your hands until you get to the floor, carefully working out any air bubbles as you go. When the school year is over, just pull it down and take it with you...the fabric is completely reusable.

A surf board hanging on one wall would really add to the ambience!
In lieu of that, you might be able to find some Hawaiian print fabric (with bold tropical flowers, for example, and picking up one, or more, of the colors in your sheets) to make curtains or a window treatment.
Stores that sell party favors and fixings could have leis made out of fabric flowers (I've seen these as giveaways at carnivals and fairs) which you could drape around a mirror or over a doorway.
A big seashell (conch?) could serve as a paperweight, door stop or simply decorative object. Put a giant star fish on your door.
And get a real potted palm tree. (They're relatively easy to maintain as long as they don't get too cold.)
Aloha, wahine!

Go to a local thrift store and find any items that represent Hawaii. It won't cost you too much.
Buy some Hawaiian shirts and make them into pillows. Only if you can sew.
Buy the flower thingys at a dollar store and hang them in some places.
Sea shells are great. Put together a tray will sand, sea shells, and a starfish and use it as a centre piece.

go to pier 1 or cost plus or an oriental imports and get a fishing net or giant hammock, glue sea shells and star fish on them. hang them on walls with christmas lights or little paper lanterns. relatively cheap, and fun. your friends will think too cool, and you will enjoy the atmosphere it creates. the christmas lights make great mood lighting.
