Go to www.firefighters.org and there are some super CD's. AND they are free. Great real stories about real people. And some were atheists. Some truckstops have them on display.

Just reading the bible is not enough. One should hang out with other growing Christians. It takes years to mature in Christ.
I have learned so much from other Christians. So hang in there, what is a 3 week internet course compared to a lifetime

I love you == keep smiling==and searching

Thats kind of a vague statement. When do you get that answer?
If you are dicussing God then you need some reference and knowledge of the subject. Or is it by people that want you to believe, and change your ways?
Do you really believe that all of this world just happened to come into being, and we evolved from primates?
If you do not believe in God do you believe in any greater power?
Read a bible and make an informed decision. Otherwise you will be left behind.

Even so, it is the living Word of God.

Does your VCR still blink 12:00 ?

Hope the "veil" is lifted from your eyes someday before it is too late.

take care -
from a Christian who suggests that people read and study the bible for themselves (while praying for wisdom and understanding of course!)

I am a Christian, and you gave me a good laugh. I must say that I know I don't handle atheists entirely right as I believe the Lord would want me to 100% of the time, but I am smart enough to understand that if my atheist brother in law and I are engaged in one of our regular discussions on matters of religion from each of our own points of view, it does nothing and serves no purpose for me to quote scripture at him. It means nothing more to him than if you quoted Mother Goose to me. I get that. But he respects me and my firm belief in Scripture because he knows that I can have a discussion with him based on things that he can find to have merit based on his own belief system, even if he disagrees with me. I personally think that as a Christian, dealing with atheists is more about being consistent and loving them in spite of disagreement. That goes a long way. Yes, I also agree that Scripture holds all of the answers and I do not ever shirk away from it. I am not the least bit afraid of quoting it. But it's not a useful method with an atheist.

What that doesn't appeal to you guys? Come on I promise the bible is more interesting!

You are going to go to hell if you don't read the bible! Read it and be saved from eternal damnation! Accept Jesus as the Lord of heaven and earth and king above all things! Be saved and in the afterlife you can glorify God for all eternity!!

Jeez I can't do this. I feel my IQ dropping by the second. I swear it's painful to be that stupid...no wonder the fundis are always pissed off.

VCR repair is much more interesting than the Bible. The Bible is right up there with reading the phone book.

Honestly, I have seen quite a few self proclaimed Atheists on Yahoo Answers that quote Bible better than some Christians I know!! At least they are educated enough to inform themselves on what it is they don't believe in. :) Have a great night all....

If you ask a christian a question they should be able to quote scripture instead of blowing you off like that. I dont tell atheists to read the bible. I prefer to give them my own personal testimony of what He has done for me and why I believe but only if they want to hear it.

Even many Chrsitians think the same way.
However,I believe that the Bible is God's life manual for us, so I study it. And when I let Holy Spirit inside of my heart, I am able to communicate with my Lord.

Honestly you should take their advice.

Not for conversion but to be able to ask and respond according to knowledge gained from having read the very book that our beliefs come from.

Knowledge is power, I read on a variety of worship styles and religions. I have yet to be swayed from what I know is truth.
