He tells me he likes me, I'm beautiful, have a beautiful smile, likes me dearly, etc... all the time. He says he always wants to remain super close with me. We never slept together or even went down on eachother. Do you think he is realizing he wants me back? He told me today I can't believe your still single. Then I said maybe I have met someone and he told me he would be jealous but happy for me.

There's nothing wrong with being super close friends. Sometimes it's even better. You don't argue over petty little things if there's no strings attached.

You ex boyfriend don't know what he wants. If you go on a vacation with him, this is the time for you two to figure whether you want a relationship or friendship.

He probably just misses or wants sex. If he's already your ex, why would you want to be with him? Don't go on the vacation with him, unless he wants to be back in a relationship with you again. Don't let him use you.

You are special to him but he might think you are better as friends. Completely normal but be careful as to not think he is still in love with you. If he was you would be together. Sounds like a true friend and a good guy.

He quite likes you in some way or yet another. He would not prefer you out of his existence and he desires to be sure he can shop you close up. the different reason is to maintain you around and until ultimately he unearths somebody else, in that way he would not prefer to be on my own.

I think your ex maybe trying to find himself, and he doesn't want to get involved right now. He may still have feelings for you, but may not be in the way you think.

He has probably realised his mistake and might actually want to get back with you. If you still like him too, I would suggest you give him another chance. It would probably kill him if he actually saw you with someone else.
