In May my sister-in-law got married on the beach in Myrtle Beach, SC. It was really nice. We all processed down the beach, then stood in a semi-circle around her and the groom. it was a small wedding (10 people total). No big frills or anything, she's not into that, but it was a beautiful, simple wedding!

My fiance and I were planning a California coastline wedding on the beach, however we are now leaning towards Hawaii in Feb of 2008. We are going over there this December to check out everything in further detail and such. Going to rent a beach house, attend a luau with Thaitian dancers and fun things for our small private guests who will be attending.

My best friend did. She had it in Cozumel, and it was one of the best weddings I have been to in my entire life. She rented a Beach Club and got the place fixed for the wedding, she placed lounges on the beach and the rest of the tables and the dance floor where inside a huge Palapa, bambu table decorations with coconuts and lots of candles. The legal ceremony was held at a dock, and there were fireworks over the sea...it was just gorgeous.

I watched one yesterday at Wrightsville Beach, NC.
They set it up & it was well decorated with beautiful flowers
on archway on pier - the guest were sitting in white chairs with flowers on back of each chair. It turned out to be a beautiful uncharacteristically cool day with light breeze. I thought moving out of sand was very smart - heels could be worn, dresses were not ruined by sand & the view was spectcular. You could see the ocean & sailboats for miles. There was resturant at the pier & they had reception there. It looked very cool!
The down side was those of us sitting on beach not only watched but created noise. In NC, it is hurricane season, can top 100 degrees & on beach the wind often tops 25 mph. They got lucky & it was beautiful.

I once saw a beautiful wedding in La Jolla, CA. They had tabes with food on the beach, and there was a gray cliff just above where the couple said their vows. Out on the shore there were rocks with the tide splashing with fury. The sun was setting, so romantic!

I am having my wedding in Ocho Rios, Jamaica at an all-inclusive resort next August.
We are giving everyone the option of staying Sunday-Sunday, or Thursday-Sunday, and the wedding will be on Saturday.
I want it to be formal, but on the beach-haven't quite figured out how that will work out yet!!

I didn't, but my brother and his wife did. they did it in Fl. I hated the idea at 1st. The thought of the sand all over and ppl in nice clothes in the hot sun. but it was great the wedding was on the beach and the party after was in a resort. seashell theme. She even used real shells on the invites. very nice.

i didn't not but a friend of my did she went to her fatherinlaw's farm and some sand brought in not a lot just enough to little cover everything and orderd beach themed items from a catalog that has a little bit of everything for schools you may want to ask your local school for one they probably have dozen's of them and then she got hula skirts for the bridesmaid and bright floral print shorts for the guys and she wore a white sun dress and had beach balls flying around the pavilaon area where they got married and on the invite told everyone to dress in hula themed clothes it was a huge success and a lot of fun good luck
