It is a religion based on fear, terror and martordom. Not all muslims are bad...but they have built a reputation that most people remember.

I think that Muslims have gotten a bad rap since 9/11.. Some people are blind to the fact that just because some Muslims are bad doesn't mean that ALL Muslims are bad. This type of Stereotyping is not good for our country. It is hard sometimes to not look beyond the surface to see what kind of person someone really is. Whether they are Black, White, Brown or any other color of the rainbow, they deserve that chance. If hypocrites can't give them that, then they are not worth my time anyway.

Uhhhh, I don't know. . . Maybe because of what their leaders say. . .
In Iran, supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei used the comments to call for protests against the United States. He argued that while the pope may have been deceived into making his remarks, the words give the West an "excuse for suppressing Muslims" by depicting them as terrorists. "Those who benefit from the pope's comments and drive their own arrogant policies should be targeted with attacks and protests," he said, referring to the United States.
(Hmmm. . . Let's see now . . . If someone "Depicts muslims as terrorists" then they should be "Targeted with attacks and protests." ~~~~ I think I get the picture.)
Al-Qaida in Iraq and its allies said Muslims would be victorious and addressed the pope as "the worshipper of the cross," saying "you and the West are doomed as you can see from the defeat in Iraq, Afghanistan, Chechnya and elsewhere. ... We will break up the cross, spill the liquor and impose the 'jizya' tax, then the only thing acceptable is a conversion (to Islam) or (being killed by) the sword."
(Hmmm . . . "Convert or get your head cut off with a sword" ~~~I think I get the picture.)
"You infidels and despots, we will continue our jihad (holy war) and never stop until God avails us to chop your necks and raise the fluttering banner of monotheism, when God's rule is established governing all people and nations," said the statement by the Mujahedeen Shura Council, an umbrella organization of Sunni Arab extremist groups in Iraq.
(Hmmm. . . "Infidels and despots will get their necks chopped" ~~~ Yes, I am sure I get the picture now. )
Or it might be their actions . . .
So far, protests over the pope's comments have been smaller. However, there has been some violence: Attackers hurled firebombs at seven churches in the West Bank and Gaza Strip over the weekend, and a nun was shot to death in Somalia.
(Hmmm, Where in the qu'ran does it say to shoot unarmed women if they are not muslim? ~~~ Yes, the picture is completely clear now.)
Or perhaps it's the
BLOOD, BOMBS and BEHEADINGS ALL TOGETHER.
I just can't quite make up my mind which is the most compelling! ~ Mr Answer

That's because there's a lot of poverty in muslim countries, and its a breeding ground for all the fanatics (which are a minority, a powerful one, because they get most of their cash from rich people who want chaos).
The fanatics only use religion to legitimate their war for more territory, more power, more money, because the real religion today, is the religion of money.
One example: the Hizbollah in Lebanon: after the Israly bombardments, most mayors of southern towns have found their towns in the hands of the Hesbollah. The city council of Qana had only 40 000 dollars US to rebuild their city. The Hezbollah came with 300 000 USD cash (guess where the money came from (Iran)) and gave 10 000 USD to each families who lost their houses. BUT, they have to pay back, even the christian familes (there are loads of 'em out there). The young daughter who goes to the christian school has to go to the coranic school, and cover herself, if the family wants the money to build its home again (money that the libanese government cannot aford). The Hezbollah is functioning just like a mafia, that's why they are evil. Under the name of God, just to legitimize thier acts, which is disgusting. Israel has made things worse with their aggressive politics, supported by the US government, without the consent of its people.
That's why, as a french christian man, I still love my american brothers, but not your government.

People like to stereotype and generalize, so when only a tiny, tiny, tiny proportion of a group does something bad, then the hick, hillbilly American assumes all members of that group are bad.
