I doubt they would be in a shelter somewhere. If the woman has any common sense, she would only take the children if she had a good place for them. He should probably call family...ask around with friends. If she doesn't show up in a day or two, contact the local authorities. Not so much to hunt her down but to check for her safety. And make sure you don't get too involved in this situation. I mean, there could be a great reason why she took the kids and you just don't know the exact circumstances.

You can't get the number for shelters cause if that is where they are at then her husband is going to go there and they can't have that. It not only puts her and the kids in danger but the other women and kids there too.
Maybe she went to a friends house or family members. However if she went to a shelter then he was abusing her and or the kids. So he don't need to know where she is! For you or him to assume she took the kids to a shelter then he must be abusive and I have no respect for men who feel the need to beat their wife and/or kids.
She haves NOT broken any laws. So there is nothing he can do except wait and hope to hear from her. Maybe she is just giving him time to think about what he haves done, maybe she will come back or at least call.

WELL all good shelters will NOT give out information. If this just happened (less than a week) maybe the woman just needs a cooling off period.
In my experience as a counselor MOST women don't pack up and leave with 4 children at the beginning of the school year unless it's a little more that a fight, but then in your favor did not define what a fight in your and his book is.
"IF" he is truly worried for their safety not his ego, maybe call local police and let them know.
Bottom line if they were in an accident he would be called. Maybe some time spent looking at himself and why this happened might keep it from happening again.
Also you write----why didn't he? And you say SHE had a fight with HIM!! I thought it took 2 to fight.

Calling the police would most likely be the best option but if he doesn't want to involve them then looking for women's shelters phone numbers wouldn't help you that much. Most women's shelters will not give out any information on people that are staying with them as they have to protect women that are being physically and emotionally abused.

Call The Police And Ask Them If They Can Help You Locate Them. First Option Is To Call Her Local Family....

If they went to a shelter, the shelter won't tell anyone she and the girls are there unless they are on a contact allowed list that she filled out.
My advice is your friend needs to get anger management help as his wife probably left out of fear of more verbal, emotional, or possibly physical abuse that you are unaware of.
Typically an abusive spouse is from outside appearances "the last one you would suspect"

Go to the local council to find out all those existing shelter places.
Your friend in the meantime have to be patient and if he does find her, do stay cool and ask for forgiveness if he really loves the kids and his wife. Things do cool down later. So do not need to worry too much.

ok lets think about this for a minute, what did he do to make her leave and why is he so adimitt about geting them back. what made her want to leave so fast without sharing where she went, i think he should wait it out and see what happens. maybe you shouldnt be so helpful until you find out why she left and what he did. a woman that just takes off with out saying a thing to her spouse has been hurt or feels her kids are in harm. he may want your help because he knows she wont talk to him or have anything to do with her anymore. even if you call the shelters they wont tell you if she is there or not. they have to protect her and are not thinking of protecting him. i say he waits it out and if he really wants to see the kids go to thier school and visit them. i say you also but out of this problem. it is his mess not yours.

She had to have a reason to take the kids and run and not tell him where she and his 4 girls are. If he hasn't done anything wrong he needs to report them missing to the police. Put up "have you seen....." flyers, hire an attorney, a private investigator..... There's lots of things he can do if he wants to find them.

It depends since they were fighting she could say he was abusing her, so she ran for the safety of the kids. And if they are married how can she kidnappe their kids. So its a lot to think about.
