With eating disorders? Like they eat a lot a few months and then they are disgusted and feel motivated again and eat healthy...but then after a while of that, they start to starve again like they used to. They're not a stupid person either and know it's wrong, but how do they stop...coz it's not a conscious thing, they just don't eat.

I don't think they can go to a doctor. Doctors are tired of them. Too many health problems caused by their eating disorders they never told about.

First you have to figure out the root cause of the problem, and then fix it. The problem is probably mostly psychological, but it affects your body physically so you need both a psychologist and a medical practioner. It is a matter of taking it day by day. Believe me, doctors are not tired of your problems. Keep asking until you get an answer. If your doctor is tired, get another doctor. But be honest with the doctor. They cannot help you if you don't tell them what you are and are not willing to do, and they can't help you if they do not know the extent of the problem.

GET HELP PLEASE! Talk to your doctor. At certain hospitals they have programs that they put you through to help you get back to normal in which they have you monitor your eating and weight. These can be in-patient or out-patient programs. My sister was anorexic. It was terrible to see her wasting away. Eventually she got help and joined an out-patient program at a hospital in the area. She is doing a lot better now. I would recommend in-patient as you don't get the distraction of leaving and not having anyone watching you! You need people making sure you are getting better. My sister relapsed once before she was good to go because she was in out-patient. Don't let it control your life. It leads to depression often times. I suffered from depression and believe me it isn't fun. Get help. Save yourself!!

It may be that this person needs a program that monitors them closely. Weight Watchers is a good program I understand. Also, people have eating disorders usually because they have unresolved psychological issues that going to counseling can help.

Talk to a doctor, they do care! If not, get a new doctor cause the old one sucks. The only thing to do is get treatment and help from friends and family.

They need to see a psychologist because the problem starts in their mental state, not physical.
