You probably don't mean 80 hp.
You can't plug that into any power line you find.
It will require over 600 amps of service, which would normally feed about 20 modern homes. That would always be installed on a 3 phase circuit because it would be difficult to start on single phase. Are you trying to build an electric race car?

A kilowatt and a horsepower both measure exactly the same thing -power. The kilowatt is the SI unit, while the horsepower is the Imperial unit. They are quite interchangeable, depending on which system of units you prefer to use. There's nothing to stop you measuring an electric heater in horsepower, if you wanted to! In Europe, ALL car engines, electric, petrol, or diesel, are measured in kilowatts as the horsepower is considered obsolete.

I don't know what the actual horsepower rating is, but when I visited the Trolley Museum in Maine, they had a bunch of old, electric trolley motors that were huge.
They easily pulled a large trolley full of tourists up and down the track.

you should contact a junkyard nearby to get an used motor ..but u might find there only 3phase
so u can use some type of attachments to convert it into single phase...
