I can tell you that I've asked a lot of questions in this category because I'm searching for answers. Some of the probably make people think that I'm atheists, but really I'm trying to have my issues addressed:
How can there be a God who lets so much evil take place
Is religion just a delusion
Is the church just another part of corporate america
Is religion just a means to cope with fear of death and loss
Is religion just a means to impose morals on the masses
Is religion Big Brother, trying to force us to think a certain way, like robots, incapable of independent thought
Many people have been greatly offended by my questions and many so called believers have angrily lashed out at me because of them, but how can I believe if these thoughts are in my mind.
So I guess my answere is yes, some of us are genuinely confused and looking for answers. And I've derived a little bit of help from asking these questions here. I'm still not sure where I fit in with God and especially with the Holy Spirit and Jesus, but I'm thinking about it, a lot. I believe, I'm just not sure in what. I'm still trying to figure that out. Maybe some of you guys out there can help me.

Not a chance. I'm not a so-called atheist - I'm atheist to the very core of my natural-selection evolved bones. Because I have thought long and hard at the evidence on all sides of the argument and cannot entertain the possibility of there being a god. It is a ridiculous concept.
Now, did you look at the evidence on all sides?

Dearest Silvia:
I DO NOT SUSPECT THAT IS THE CASE AT ALL.
I rather think that they are seeking someone to
mow their lawn, paint their house, cook their meals, and even scratch their back. Were you to offer to convert them, i think you will suddenly hear the sound of a door being slammed in your face. And, if it hasn't happened to you before, it can be very upsetting to the ear.
You would do better wondering why grass is green, or why the sky looks blue. The end result is going to be much more pleasing to you.
By the way, why in the world would you place so much of your time and energy into worrying about the various philosophies of an Alien? He wasn't born here on the Earth.
So you want us to believe in Aliens from other planets or solar systems? Is that called Science Fiction, or what?

That's what some believers claim as a justification of so many people who have a different speech that makes sense to them. But don't hold your breath. BTW, do you think that many of the believers who claim atheists are searching to be converted, are only wishing to be liberated from the ties of believing without proof, and that they secretly feel like those atheists, but are afraid to confess it, in case they "go to hell"?

They want to see jesus do his miracles by himself and also prove them that he is jesus in their chemical lab by successfully completing their Acid and litmus tests. Yeah he shouldnt be burnt by acids if they should believe him. They are not satisfied with bible. They want to get in contact to the lord himself to ensure that they do salute and worship one real and no fake imagination.
Once the lord is here and they are pleased that he is he, they will turn more devout than you are. Just that they believe themselves more than any other. Once the lord is here, they will love and believe him more than they do themselves and more than you do since it is only the vision of the greatest that can turn their souls emotional as far as god is concerned and thats like a dam which bursts(Greater flow than a normal river)
I am no christian and will never convert. I answered with jesus as reference as you seem to be christian(you are definitely one if your name and photo are real). I am devout to the core but have aethist friends and hence i know their arguments

I think there is one specific atheist on here that is on the verge of converting to Christianity and will soon, as God is working on their heart.
I think many atheists are on here because they think it's fun to put down those who believe in what they call a "fairy tale."
As for the other atheists, well I'm not sure, why exactly they are here.

I do not know the hearts of others but i know that my grandfather was an atheist for most of his life. He was raised in a satanic atmosphere and he could not believe that God of love could let such horrible things happen. It took a lot of years and prayers and the love of GOD shining Thu his son and grandchildren, to finally soften his heart and restore his faith. We should be careful how we treat others who don't believe like we do because how are they every going to find Gods love if Gods children only show them hate?

Don't know about anyone else, but it isn't why I'm here. I enjoy correcting misconceptions, reading other peoples answers and laughing at stupid people (of all kinds). I also do it as a sort of penance, because bad grammer and spelling set my teeth on edge and I find tons of those here.

Gee, I think I've heard this one before.
It seems there's a LOT of believers who are really made nervous by the existence of atheists. I'm really learning something interesting on this forum.

Do you think that many of the so-called "religious people" here are actually the spawn of all evil? Hmmm...
