It may just be there to "fill the hole". Since dashboards are laid out at the factory to a perscribed pattern, and wiring looms are wired for some power items that you might not have, - it may be wired up too, - but hooked to nothing!

that button changes the shift points and the how quickly the trans switchs gears, PWR is the higher preformance choice..

Most of those "power" buttons just keep the transmission in a lower gear longer so that it upshifts slower and thus gives you "more power." Unless you GAS IT, you won't notice anything in those modes.

I have the same thing on my Toyota 4Runner. I have pushed it and I didn't see any difference. The owners manual says it gives you an extra boost of power when needed. I guess when you get ready to pass another vehicle you can push it for more power.

hey guess your an idiot i wouldn't let you fix my lawnmower
the button is linked to the transmission control and changes the shuft points on the transmission th let the engine rev more for power or shift at lower rpm for economy
