Naw, we all have thought about it at least twice. I had always pictured myself doing a swan dive with a perfect entry.

Ok I'm not an expert or anything but I do suffer from depression so I kinda understand the whole thing as I am being treated using Cognative Behavioral Therapy. First of all are your thoughts of jumping off with killing yourself in mind? If so, I would say it is a bit abnormal. I am not going to diagnose you with depression or anything. Just be aware. If you do start to think a lot about killing yourself get help. The earlier you catch any depression developing the better. There are many other signs of depression that can help you know if your ok. I would look those up on a site like WebMD at webmd.com. Knowledge is power. If you know what depression looks like, you can defeat it before it controls you. And coming from someone who has been there, you don't want it to control you. I recommend Cognative Behavioral Therapy of Depression if you ever do get in to a position were you need to see a psychologist or psychiatrist as it is working for me. Keep yourself in the know about your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Your thoughts, feelings, and actions all affect each other. For instance, the way you think influences the way you feel, and the way you feel influences the way you act(and all the other combinations of the three). Catch it early is all I have to say. And don't jump!!! By the way I'm 17.

When crossing a bridge I think about jumping off.
When I stick my hand down the garbage disposal, I think about turning it on.
When I take a sleeping pill, I think about downing the whole bottle.
When I hold a really sharp knife, I think about cutting myself.
And yet, I don't want to die, nor be hurt. So go figure.
Perhaps it is our minds simply toying with ideas that are stimulating, though morbid and extreme.

I don't know whether it's normal or not but I think about that too, and I think about it a lot, I always think about jumping off when I'm standing on high places, I don't mean suicide at all, but I just like to jump.

Well, some people do think that, but only if you want to jump off a bridge is it worrysome. thinking about doing it is ok as long as you don't want to.

I've been thinking about that. But we don't do much walking where I live, so I would drive off. I hope it's normal cuz I'd hate to be a wierd person.

Are you depressed ? It might be a compulsive thought problem due to stess or feeling trapped with no control over your life. you probably should get an evaluation at a mental health facility to find out what's going on. good luck !

If you have the thought, thats gravity, especially if the idea makes as much sense with bungee cords. If you seriously consider it, get professional help

Yes, That is abnormal. You need to get your mind of yourself and
help people that are less fortunate than you. You should become
a Make-Wish volunteer. It would be good for you!!!

Yeah but never really try that as we could speculate the outcome from that action. So don't even try not unless you need something to jerk you up.
