No- But "cancer' is a pretty wide adjective used to describe cellular irregularities for a hundred different diseases. There is most likely not ONE cure for all of these diseases. Most people have cancer cells in their bodies right now they just aren't active. We don't know what activated these cells in some people while it doesn't in others.

I do not believe that anyone is hiding a cure for anything and I will tell you why. First anything in a lab is being overseen and contributed to by a lot of people, and people just can't keep secrets. Second, there is no reason to keep it a secret. Most of the world's population is taking medicine right now that is not approved by the FDA. So the theory that someone is sitting on a cure awaiting FDA approval is false. They could simply take it to Japan or Europe where most pharma companies are located anyway and they could already start making money off of this cure outside the US while awaiting FDA approval or just ignore the US and sell the medicine to the majority of the global populations without it.

I know this because I am an American living in Asia with some pretty serious medical problems and about half of the medicines that I am taking are not yet approved in the US. Most medicines that you take in the US have already been used in Euope and Asia for years prior to getting FDA approval to sell in the US.

The US is the "big" market not because of population but due to the fact that they can charge the highest price for the medicine. To give an example look at the history of Tacrolimus/Prograf an bacteria that is used to treat organ transplant patients. This is the biggest breakthrough in this filed in the lat 20 years. Fujitsuwa was the first company to market this medicine and they did take it to the market as soon as it was available. The results have been outstanding so someone in the US pushed it through the FDA in a relatively very short period of time. But it was available here in Asia and also Europe almost immediately. Now that it has FDA approval Roche bought the patent and are now selling it for everything from arthritus to skin diseases. But, the original properties were suppression of T cells when taken orally which is exactly what an organ transplant needs to keep rejection of the new organ from occuring.

There is no reason that I can think of for someone not to want to start selling a cure for anything as soon as possible. Greed is not a viable reason because a greedy person would want to start selling as soon as possible. They would also want to patent this as soon as was possible. If they just sat on a cure without a patent someone else might slip in and snag that patent before them then they would lose all claim. That would be pretty stupid to sit on a trillion dollar cure when anyone else in the lab could sneak off and get the patent. Now as soon as a patent is issued by any governement those people working in that governement office are going to go home and at least tell there family and friends. So a secret is much harder to keep in this world. Also consider that most everyone has lost someone to one of the cancerous diseases.

In summary I believe that someone in a patent office would leak this information almost instantly. Without a patent the people who discovered this "cure" would be gambling that nobody else on the planet would make this discovery while they were sitting on it for now apparent reason. This is the sort of conspiracy idea that makes for good comic book reading, but in reality would not happen because the money is to be made now for all the reasons I have just mentioned. The process just doesn't work like that in the real world.

Good question though, stimulating idea.

No.

I have read a lot of the answers here and I can't believe how many people believe that there is a conspiracy out there.

First of all, have no fear, new cancers are popping up each and every day so there will be a lot of work for the pharmaceutical industry for eons to come.

In the current world of targeting biomolecules to disease targets, it will be a huge undertaking that will benefit the individual. Since cancer is a genetic disease, the fight against the disease will be taking a new, more directed turn. The amount of DNA that can mutate and become oncogenic will keep oncologists busy.

As for other aspects of medicine, over the last 30+ years, we have constantly seen the arrival of new viral pathogens and new bacterial pathogens. Due to the mutating nature of nucleic acids, as we cure one strain, there will always be more to cure, and as the science becomes more and more complex, there will be more and more money to be made in the pharmaceutical industry 9and a great place to play the stock market if you understand the science behind the companies).

My answer is yes.I do believe that cancer is a big conspiracy from doctors, drug companies, tobacco manufacturers, etc.It is hard to believe we can get to the moon but can't cure cancer.I know they keep saying they have come a long way, but as you see it also comes with a hefty price, that most patients can't afford or won't live to make it through the procedures. It really bothers me to think about it because so many loved ones are dying every minute, but I think this is true.I am not a negative person, this is just my opinion on the subject.
If there was a cure just think about how much those companies would lose each year.I know that cancer isn't preventable, even those that don't smoke etc. get cancer now but of course smoking contributes.

No. I'm astounded by the answers to this. We'll just concentrate on one aspect. Money. If a company out there had a cure for cancer, do you realize how much money they'd make from their vaccine/treatment, etc? Do you really think a cancer research center really cares how much money a pharmaceutical company makes? And, if this were a big conspiracy, there would have to be hundreds of people involved in the cover-up, any of whom could sell their story to the press.

Cancer cells are very hard to differentiate from normal cells which make cancer a very hard disease to deal with. There is no cover-up.

No, if breast maximum cancers grew to become into cured, not all cancers could be cured. there are a number of categories of maximum cancers and that they don't look to be each and every of the comparable. simply by fact of this the comparable clinical care isn't given for each. it incredibly is why there are a number of chemotherapy drugs, simply by fact no chemotherapy drug is useful against all forms of maximum cancers. some cancers at the instant are not tender to chemotherapy or radiation clinical care. it fairly is likewise why quite some progression has been made in treating some cancers (adolescence acute lymphocytic leukemia, prostate maximum cancers, testicular maximum cancers purely as an occasion) and there has been little progression with others (i.e., pancreatic maximum cancers, the recommendations tumors glioblastoma multiforme and DIPG). Researchers are engaged on focused remedies - designed distinctly to easily right what is going incorrect with the cells specially forms of cancers. some focused remedies are already in use.

Yes,I truly do think that there is a cure for cancer and aids,I watched a man on t.v. try to put out his book,he says he believes that he had found the secrets that the government has been hiding from us.He also had said that he had the F.B.I. show up and telling him to stop telling us that there was indeed cures for are cancers and aids, but he said he determined to let us know that the government was doing population control, and that's why they wanted him hushed.Well I have to say that since I seen the man on t.v. a few months ago I have not heard from him since and no one talks about him either,so either he was a quack or for real?????You decide.....

I find it disturbing that so many responses show a belief in conspiracies to keep cures secret.
Why do people find it easier to believe in a conspiracy with no proof than to believe that not all problems have been solved, and people are mortal.?

Many companies are spending large sums of money to find cures and treatments for the many cancers that afflict humans.
When a breakthrough drug of treatment is approved it is generally VERY profitable for the company, so there is certainly no financial incentive to hold back.

Yes, they have a cure but can't give it out because it would cost them way too much money. Think of all the money they would lose by not charging people and insurance companies millions a year on treatments that rarely help.
