What you need to do is start out slow.
Beginning tomorrow say "hi" to as many people as possible.
Then the next day, say something like, "hi how's it going?" or "hi how you doing?" Anything that gets a response back from the person you are saying it to. That way you can respond to their response. Something like "I'm good, thanks for asking"
Then once you are comfortable with that, try some small talk. Something like "hey I like that shirt, it looks really good on you" or maybe something like "if this class gets any boring'er, I'm going to fall asleep"
Then try and be funny. I know, when you are in class with this certain person (lets say his/her name is Mike) (and the teachers name is Mr. Putts)
say something like: "Mr. Putts, I don't care what Mike says about you, you are okay in my book" (or) you can reverse that and say: "You know what Mike, I don't care what Mr. Putts says about you, you are okay in my book" you should get a few laughs from it.
Good luck to you,

You get rid of shyness by growing a sac and taking care of business. It's natural to feel nervous around people or a person you want to talk to. You only live once so go for broke!

hmm, how about kind of work it so that you are headed out the door of the class at the same time and pay a compliment like "hey, that's a neat shirt, where'dya get it?
Or, "how do you think you did on that test?"
"were you cold in there? i think the thermostat is haywire"
Anything to break the ice.....that person might just be waiting for you to say something. Maybe that person is just as shy!

Well you have to learn to not get so worked up about talking to someone. You have to remember that you are talking and making friends. It will get easier as you go. Being shy does not help so just pick a subject that you are confortable talking about and start with that. You can do this it is not hard. Just pick one person at a time to start with. Someone who you think would talk back with you.

just imagine that this person is more shy than you are, take a deep breath, walk up and say what you want to say. don't waste your time being to shy to ever do anything, you are only young once and that's the best time to get away w/ doing stupid things. OR JUST THINK OF YOURSELF BEING GROWN AND SITTING AND TELLING YOURSELF "DAMN I SHOULDA HAD MORE FUN WHEN I WAS A KID"

Do you also say to yourself that you are going to post the same question over and over and over and over? Get a hold of yourself. Maybe a counselor or therapist could help.
