It depends on what your budget is. Your best bet would be to look for a "residence hotel" that specializes in that kind of thing. On the more affordable end of the scale is the Brickskeller which isn't in Georgetown but is very well located in DuPont Circle-- you can walk to the Metro or to Georgetown from there. They also have a really neat bar with about 900 kinds of beer in the basement. It's a little divey. More expensive is Oakwood in Arlington, VA, a longish walk to Georgetown but only about a 5-minute drive, short bus or train ride, great neighborhood, nice apartments. Or try Georgetown Suites which is actually in Georgetown. There are some other places that are kind of in between hotel and apartment but I can't remember their names; if these don't fit your need, ask their reservationists for referrals.

check out craigslist.com..............

but this is going to be hard to do at that time of year. when college is out for the summer, sublets are easier to find.

see if you have any family connections that live nearby...a 2nd cousin or something....you'd be surprised at how big families can get....

otherwise try finding an inexpensive hotel and get a weekly rate. this is probably going to be the only option for you unless you find family OR just thought of this....check the local newspaper for roommate needed listings.....though craigslist will have a lot of these.

good luck!!

p.s. check out the housing department of georgetown and GW....see if they have reputable suggestions.....
