If you can keep 'em down, why not? I guess if you just had the surgery recently, that might be problematic, just because of the healing process and the difficulty of digesting peanuts in general.

Sure, as one type of protein they'd be fine. But try to get some other proteins in your diet too, and don't go overboard, because peanuts are a little fatty and won't supply you with a whole lot of other nutrition. And I'd suggest avoiding salting them. :)

I would stay away from the entire nut family.

Stay with the baby food. Really.
A nut could bust your gut up.
