I'm in the processing of losing weight and I weigh around 165. and i have just discovered that i'm really into yoga and pilates, but a lot of positions are difficult for me and i'll fall over. could it be that i need to weigh less? i'm not flexible enough? or are the one's i'm doing too advanced?
help, i really want to know

It be flexability, but the more you do it the more flexable you'll become. And the fact that you may loose your balance has nothing to do with wieght. A woman in my yoga class who is really thin falls over quite often. Thats because you may not be able to balance very well. Balancing comes easier for some people than others.

Eventhough how heavy you are, you are qualified to do the yoga and pilates. That's why there is beginners session to help you to understand and learn things.Remember mind over matters..you will progress be patient.

Keep doing yoga and pilates. It'll get easier as you lose weight.

Both are fine for your weight.

Ask your instructor for a different variety of the positions that are difficult for you. You'll gradually get better at it and more flexible.
