its generic and they cant even pay for all of that? Does your health insurance pay for all of it?

Mine always paid the same for antidepressants as for other meds. I just had to pay a copay.

It depends on your premium and nothing more than that. It's a term of your contract. Insurance companies want to actually INVOLVE you in the decision about your medicines. If they paid 100%, for instance, you'd say, "Yeah, I'll take the brand name. I don't care if it costs ten times more than the generic." You might even get an Rx for 100 pills filled and decide you don't really want to use it after all, because you have zero investment in the decision. By paying 50%, you are actually a partner in the decision about which med to use and whether you "really" need it or not.

Insurance and pharmacudiacal companies are ALL ABOUT THE MONEY! You have to play their game. Ask your doctor about helping you do this. They will pay for certain ones for a certain length of time and then they change the list of what they will pay for. They are hoping people will just quit taking them when the company quits paying. My husband has had to switch several times. Also, ask your doc if he has some samples. Hope this helps.
