I understand your point of view. I am spirtual, but not religious. I'm what some would call a rational face to religion. I don't practice rituals, nor do I profess to know how it really happened, all we see before us. I even think Darwin had a great idea. I chose to believe in love, and beauty, that happiness is the truth. No more, no less. If what you believe works for you, then more power to you. I cannot condemn someone who follows their heart. I just want to know why some come here to try and belittle other's beliefs. I believe to do so is to afront your own beliefs and show ignorance. If you are not one of these people, and you use cold logic to prove a point I cannot condemn you either. I do it all the time, I'm an equil oportunity religion debunker. If it goes against the happiness and obtainment of happiness then it doesn't belong on this earth.

Otherwords, the Herculaniums had it right. Live life to it's fullest. Love yourself, and one another, see the true beauty in all things. The nakid body isn't something shameful, it's just as beautiful as the lily, or the orcid. For desency sake we cloth ourselves, because not all of us have the form of the greek and roman sculptures. However, we shouldn't feel hatred for our forms, for all it's worth the human body is remarkable.

We come here because we have opinions and answers. Just because they aren't the ones you want to hear doesn't make them less valid. We have a right to express ourselves just as you do.

Don't be afraid of the angry, nervous and confused feeling you get while reading the answer......that's just your paradigm shattering into millions of tiny pieces.
(It's kind of like watching the matrix, when neo finally "wakes up".)
"Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities — the political, the religious, the educational authorities — who attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations, informing — forming in our minds — their view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable open-mindedness, chaotic, confused vulnerability to inform yourself."
-Timothy Leary
(here's another good Leary quote"
"Monotheism is the primitive religion which centers human consciousness on Hive Authority. There is One God and His Name is ——- (substitute Hive-Label). If there is only One God then there is no choice, no option, no selection of reality. There is only Submission or Heresy. The word Islam means ’submission’. The basic posture of Christianity is kneeling. Thy will be done."

It's because we atheists secretly believe in god, and we're hoping that the Christians here will convince us to come out of the closet and become open believers again.
Or at least that's the delusion that almost everyone who asks this "question" holds.
The truth is that people ask questions here, and if the atheists and agnostics DIDN'T come, those people would almost never get the correct answers to their questions. We're the voice of truth in this forum.

They want to try and destroy weak Christians and convince them they are fools for believing in something they THINK cannot be proven or seen. I've shown so many of them factually evidence that no one can deny only to have them respond "so that doesn't prove anything" While I believe we must be prepared to give them facts and evidence this proves that only the Holy Spirit and The Word of God has the power to draw them and save them. Unless He is a work invisibly on them, they "as scripture proclaims" simply do not have ears to hear.

If you're here often enough to see how frequently atheists and agnostics come here, why have you not noticed this??? I'm sorry, but I just can't face answering this again.

Well if you look at it philosophically, atheists and agnostics are a "religion", I mean religion means having a belief in something, and they believe that God doesn't exist.

If you are so afraid of people questioning your beliefs maybe you should be the one to not come in here.

What, you think your faith and your God can't stand up to a little skepticism and questioning? Anyone can go where they want here in America.

They like to pick on them; you know, make fun of their ideologies. question their beliefs, laugh at their God(s), annoy some people, maybe even try to convert some of them into atheists. It's just something to do.
