amen, also look at how God chose people like David who had some pretty messed up sins in his life and family. but god saw something in Davids heart that was so beautiful he brought one of the most beautiful books of the bible, the psalms, not to mention, a nation, that would lead to the lineage that our saviors Jesus Christ would come from. that's what i love about god. he put people in the bible who messed up and came back to him. he didn't fill the bible with staunch, uptight, self righteous examples for us to follow. thank god literally. and thank you so much for your observation and courage. maybe one day we will become one body in Christ, because until we do i don't think he is going to come back for just a shoulder or an ear or a knee or a hip, well you get what I'm saying. god bless, oh and by the way, i mean it when i say it.

Actually we are told to judge using his words. Read beyond the "judge not" to the next few passages.
He had an absolute right to judge, and with the woman he said "Go, and sin no more." What do you think he would have done if she said "But I was born an adulterer and have the right to live this way, and in fact I want it taught to the children as an alternate loving lifestyle."?
Sin can be repented of. All sin. But there seem to be some who want to embrace that sin...

Jesus calls us to encourage our brothers and sisters to stop sinning.
We are called not to judge non-christians but to rebuke them that are..we have no right to tell a non-christian try reading 1 corintians 5 (specifically verse 10).
Jesus came to change sinners.......of which I am the most sinnerest . Jesus commands us and expects us to be holy
(strive to be perfect)....but knows we will fall short.
I think 1 John would be a good short book for you to read...it says we shall not continue in sin...but when we sin we have grace.

As christians we are filled with the Holy Spirit. We are as christians all sinners saved by Grace. However, if you see someone who says that they are a christian and acting another way, you can use the bible as a guide line to tell wether or not the person really is a true christian or not. It is called discernment, not judgement. We can still love the person, but we are called to not conform to the world anymore, as it says in Romans 12:1-2

All have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God.The transgression of the law is the breaking of the covenant that all God fearing people made with GOD.BY NOT LIVING IN THE WORD OF GOD,you are divorced from the family of God and are cast out of the house of God.Judge not or you ll be judged,Yes a sin is a sin all sins come to the sentence of death.Love not your,,,life for you will lose it,your love is given onto others, trust only in the word of the LORD,how can you trust anyone when you cant even trust yourself.Be not prejudice, for spirit has no color. It doesn't matter what comes into ,it what comes out of you,is what you,be full of the spirit of love and take nothing in what is called hatred, your hurting nobody but yourself.Last but not lest,I love you all there is no hate within me,before GOD all you are really worth is the weight of your heart, keep it on fire for your God and shine in it and sing the LORDS PRAY AS HE SONG ONTO HIS FRIENDS ON HIS LAST DAY THEM .YES GOD LOVES ALL OF YOU,FOR THE GOD IS A MERCIFUL GOD AND IN NO WAY WISH FOR ALL OF YOU TO PERISH,If I HADN'T SHOW NOW ANY LATER NONE OF YOU WOULD OF EVER BEEN SAVED AND STOP[ SPITTING AT ME.AND CURSING ME FOR YOU ARE ONLY CURSING YOURSELVES

He didn't get into the face of the woman caught in the act of adultery about her sin, because He didn't have to. She was well aware of her sin already, and had a was convicted by it.
Now He did get into people's faces, and confronts them with their sin. "... those eighteen, upon whom the tower in siloam fell, and slew them, do you think that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay: but except you repent, you shall all likewise perish." Luke 13:4,5.
Bibilical evangelism has always been, "Law to the Proud, Grace to the humble." Never will you see Jesus giving the gospel to an proud, self-righteous, arrogant person. He gives them the Law, like with the rich young ruler (Mark 10:17-22). Nor will you see Him giving the Law to someone who is humble and repentant, and well aware of their sin, like the woman caught in adultery (John 8:1-11).
"God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble." James 4:6

Well said.
You could probably add the "toss the first stone" into your paragraphs.
I do believe that Christians need to be called on their behavior on occasion. Christianity has got a bad rap -- mostly from some skewed idea of evangelism. Walking in the light implies movement and a path and a journey and a goal that we will never reach. The Christian trying to renew is his mind will continually fall back on well worn treads -- often to his own surprise.
Spiritual Seekers are often drawn to the Guru or the Buddhist because of his outward bearing of inner peace. You will know them by their fruit, manifesting peace, love, joy, faith is the sign of a practicing Christian. People are drawn to them too.

I think the world has gotten out of control when it comes to judging people. We need to love the sinner but not the sin. How can we expect someone to come to Jesus if they are constantly told how bad they are, and that they are going to hell, but not tell about the love and forgiveness that Jesus is so willing to give at no cost to them?

I belive I've answered this in the last question I've answered. Judge not Lest Ye be judged! I try to help people & animals whenever I can. I am a good person. I'm not perfect, but I try to live by Jesus' teachings. I think if everyone did that we would have a better, more peaceful world.

Since the two greatest commandments have to do with love, then it only makes sense that the greatest sins must be against those two commandments. So failing to love God and to love one another are more serious sins than any others.
Now some of the other sins can be failing to love, but it's the lack of loving that matters most.
