The guy that I like recently bought a house. He invited me to come over and help him organize. We went shopping and bought the blinds for his windows and hung them up together. I was unsure if the guy really liked me or not ( we are friends and haven't even kissed or had sex). We spent 6 hours together (the longest we've spent together alone). When I was leaving he gave me a big hug, which he'd never done before. I was wondering does this bring me up to a "girfriend " status?

uuuuuhhhh no. If you haven't even had the conversation or a "date" then NO - this is one the of the reasons men BOLT honey. Relax and chill out! Be cool and just enjoy getting to know him better. Obviously he likes to spend time with you to have had you assist him with his house and stuff. (Assuming he wasn't trying to get rid of you and you were just not getting the hint!)
Wait for his call and if you guys get together again, dont think too much! Just enjoy the friendship - if more happens, it happens!

Does a hug bring you up to the girlfriend status??? That would be a big no. Dont friends hug eachother??? That doeasnt mean they want to sleep with you. How about just seeing where it goes from your friendship first.

Not "girlfriend" status yet, but maybe it's what he's leaning towards for the near future. I think a kiss or a romp in the sheets needs to happen first.

Sounds like he wants to but he's treading carefully in case you don't feel the same way. Next time you take it a little bit further, maybe just give him a kiss on the cheek. See what his reaction is.

No. Sex doesn't even do that.
If you spend a lot of time together and always seek each other out, then after a while you will be his "de facto" girlfriend even if you've never kissed.
But if you have sex tomorrow, THAT won't make you his girlfriend.

that hug could mean a lot of thing. maybe he's into you and he's just to shy to admit it! maybe he sees you as his best friend or like a sister to him!
give him some time to show his true feelings towards you. if he's too slow and you can't wait anymore, you can ask him but don't too be eager and too obvious. do it indirectly first if you can.

not nessecarily. i had guy friends give me hugs. it does sound like he's wanting to get closer to you on a personal level. don't push it. just play it cool and let him make the moves right now. if you push to hard to soon you may get hurt. besides if he has a romantic side you'll learn what it is soon enough. best of luck.

never assume that you are someone's girlfriend without asking. It would just be embarassing later on if its not what it seems. I would just ask him if he wants to take it to the next level.
