My ex-boyfriend (dated for about 4 & 1/2 months) wants me back. Its been 3 weeks since we broke up, and he is still my friend but we cant talk much because i only see him during lunch and my lunch is short due to other classes/activities. Anyways, hes been real sad/upset/depressed ever since and i want him to be happy but i dont know if we should go out again because i am worried what if i break up wit him again. I kinda want to be with him again, but i am not sure if i should try for it. I like him, but maybe not enough, and he is a person who wants a relationship - like meeting parents and stuff like that which i am not very fond of. What should i do?

We can't really decide for you. Just remember, he's an ex for a very good reason. Think about why you broke up and how you'd make it different this time -- if it's even possible to avoid that problem again.

Don't make the mistake and go back with him to see HIM happy. If you aren't 100% satisfied with him, then don't go back. You have a lot of years ahead of you, so don't rush in settling down like he wants to. Take it from me, I met a "perfect guy" a year ago, we fell for eachother, became engaged because HE wanted to, and I would've ended up being a stay-at-home-mom because HE wanted to. But, I wouldn't have minded, because I loved him and wanted to see him happy. We broke up 10 days ago, and I see things differently now.
Don't rush it. If he doesn't understand that, then let him go.

I think that you should just be friends with him for a while and see how things go. If your feelings develop more then you can get back together with him. That way you don't go make him super depressed by being his g/f immediately, finding out you really aren't into him and then breaking up all over again. Just hang out as friends first and see how it goes.

It seems your not really interested in him. You only want to get back with him, because you hate to see him upset, sad and depressed.

Hmm i guess it depends on how young you are. If your really young sweetie you have the chance to date many boys. Things change fast, & i know that from experience. But if your meant to be then you will be together. If not then it wasnt meant to be.
