I consider myself a theist because I believe in a single unifyling force that conncts all creation and I choose to call that force God/dess. However, I do not believe that this is a "supernatural entity." I suspect that someday science will identify the thing we now call "God." I believe God loves us in that way we love our own cells. i mean, we want them to keep going, we know they are what we are made of, but we kill 'em by the thousnads - scratching an itch, drinking a few too many at the office Christmas party, or taking antivirals or chemotherapy. Sometimes you sacrifice the few for the sake of the many, y'know?
So am I technically an atheist, since I don't believe in a supernatural prayer-answering, saviour-sending sky-daddy?

And don't bother telling me I'm going to hell. Hell is supernatural and i don't believe in the supernatural. Didn't you read the question??

And for the person who classified this as a rant and was unable to discern what, specifically, the question was:
Am I technically an atheist because I do not believe in a supernatural "God," but rather in something that we perceive as "God"?
