Yes ridiculous but do you really think that anything is going to change? All religions have their extremists we all know that but when the extremists start preaching hatred and the others see some little truth in it and sometime not even the truth just a line of reasoning, they start to believe. That is the problem, there are too many ppl following others. Don't follow any man, person whatever you want to call them. Follow your Gods, your religions purity not ppl.

Mixing just any religion with politics is bad yes, Islam America would make quite the holy war. I don't know if Jewish america would be that bad, but then again, there would probably be a bad religious persecution of some kind. Mormon America would be quite moron-ic, or should I say, Moroni. Catholic America would be just like the middle ages with fear and forced tithes to a false cause. But America was founed on Christianity, and seems to get worse as we become more atheist. I would pick Christianity, because if we were all atheist, what would supress our human hunger for power AKA communism?

Atheistic communist governments are also involved in this, but i agree with you entirely that the world would be a better place if all religions were kept out of politics. Unfortunately, it'll never happen.

If I were a cynical skeptic, I would believe that the Catholic church is using her vast wealth & resources to foment violence & dissension in Muslim & Protestant communities
But the Catholic church (actually a nation known as the Holy See) wouldn't do that, would they?
