What direction are your eyes facing when you close your eyes? This has puzzled my for many moons..

i think they go into the back of your brain

It should really puzzle you why your brain could not figure this out. If you close your eyes, they continue facing in the same direction, dear, as when they are open. They may move from side to side (if YOU move them) or up and down (if YOU move them), but if you do not, they remain facing ahead.

it is mainly straight ahead. But some studies have reveled when you sleep they roll up, when you dream they go from left to right. and when you close you're eyes to think most people look to the left.

try this - you can close your eyes and still look up down, side to side, whatever. So you are actually controlling them still.
(When you sleep, I'm sure you know the drill: there are different stages like REM and all.)

I don't know. I do know that when the body sleeps, your eyes dart from side to side. This is called Rapid Eye Movement (R.E.M)

ive always wonder this myself. im not really sure though, but when you dream theyre moving so i guess they dont really go a certain way. even when youre about to fall asleep theyre probably looking straight.

whatever way you make them go, but when you sleep they roll slightly back, not all the way but pretty far.
